Meg Altright your going to love season two but be prepared to weep buckets at THE first episode. And the last. One thing is clear outlander is a story being told by Clair in her later years looking back. 're watch episode 1 and you'll understand. Plus Jamie's ghost being Solid. In my humble opinion . N I'm a staight guy . Who I admit I've shed a tear watching both series . But it is simply the finest t.v. series eclipsing game of thrones . I pray they keep it going through to season 11 and the last book. But there's hope as Diana gabalon promised to reveal how Jamie is in 1945. Also one thing of note . We as Jack Randal at his Garrison in season one you need to find the episode . Outlander is so clever you got to rewatch n find all the clued and Easter eggs to what's going to happen. Anyway Jack Randal there's a scene of him getting a shave from a young lad . As the camera gold the window ledge with his shaving gear . Next to it is the identical watch albeit older that FRANK Randal wears. I cannot unless you want a spoiler reveal Frank's fate in season 2. But ok give you a small one sometime before it all he became aware of the time travel . I think after reading those old documents . In it was his wife's signature dated 1745 .BEFORE she went thru. He used this to prepare a character VERY important to Claire Jamie and Frank for time travel . And to protect that person prepares. Them to live in the past. Because his special forces unit are sniffing around the fact they have people and a place to time travel . That's why things have to happen. As for how his watch is there. Well my theory. Jack Randal is Frank from just before well I can't say. Gone back in time to punish Jamie. Remember watch closely. He recognised Jamie in 1945. It made no sense given who utterly accurate Outlander is which makes it so compelling how historical accurate it was. Randal was described before his arrival at Lallybroch as respected even tempered captain. Yet he singles out a farm boy who lashed out. While the bastard English redcoats were brutal they did have rules. Had to pay properly for goods in Scottish shops . Help where they felt they could . Inbetween all the rape and pillage and eventual genocide on Culloden. Plus the clearances. Anyway why would Randal handle that. Military protocol would have seen Jamie given a going over by randles men. I can't reveal too much but Frank I guess is given reason to hate Jamie . And by telling you that I've given part of the game away. I won't give more away unless you want to try certain ways of downloading season 2 . And a program for the pc called vlc and all your answers will be revealed . But seriously season 2 ep1 and the finale oh heck!!. Oh n have you figured Gellis Duncan out yet ? From 1968?
