My keys to this lesson are: Faith, endurance and discipline. To have faith in God is to believe in him and his guidance. We will ultimately suffer because Christ suffered. Our endurance takes patience and the ability to accept what’s happening and to see it through to the end. Christ endured so much on that cross! And he lived again! That was God’s result for him. Hard times will come. It’s how you handle them that makes all the difference. And It takes discipline from God in order for us to be more like him. We don’t just learn how to act right, we have to be taught by our parents and by God. Children are shaped by the discipline and beliefs of their parents. Believers are shaped unto salvation by God allowing them to have faith in him, to ensure hard times, and to learn what we need from him. That way, when we run the race of life, we will be able to endure to the end. Thank you. I loved your questions. Mine were: 1. What is enduring faith? How do we stay strong in enduring faith? 2. What is endurance? Why do we need it? Why did Jesus need it? 3. What is discipline? How does God discipline us? How do your your parents discipline you? Did it help you? How? As a teacher myself, I hope these questions might help someone in their lesson plans.
