Good morning pastor rodney jones. The lesson today as you taught it. Drinking &eaten each word of the promises. Isaiah26:3 deuteronomy 31:8 John 16:33 psalm 32:8. Pastor i am from ministry families. They taught us &taught me .How to walk by faith not by sight. Romans 10:17 so faith comes from what is heard and what is heard comes through the word of christ. Jesus brought me out of sin Saved delivered , fill me with the holy ghost. Have my own testimony no one can testify for me. Saints have a blessed wknd as we pray for each other. Families family 1 timothy 5:8 , Proverbs 22:8.

I see this lesson in 3 keys: Faith, Assurance, and Exalt. That’s the way I’m teaching it. We have faith because we believe in God. We have assurance in him because of his presence in our lives. We exalt him because we know him and have faith and believe in the assurance of his presence. We have faith in and have assurance of what we cannot see. We don’t have to see it to feel it. In other words: Never fear God is here! Faith moves mountains, fear shakes them! Faith brings God’s results! Thank you.

My son suffered a second degree drowning accident in 2018 when he was taken out of water he wasn't breathing... moments later his heart stopped.But than I remembered Hebrews 11 and a strange confidence come over me I started to pray poeple on the beach pray with me after that paramedics manage to resuscitate him .One doctor in the hospital said that I must thank God cause noway he sould breathe like he was breathing 🙏

My son was born September 6, he would Have been 35 today. He drown at the age of 14. I thank God that I was taught His Word by my grandfather whom was a preacher. My faith was tested! Thank God he helped me to stand. Trusting God was all I knew for that pain in my heart! Keep me in your prayers

Paul mentions the word of faith, which we preach [Romans 10:8]. In verse 17 of ROMANS chapter ten faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. I believe the word of God is faith!!! God has told us to remind Him of his word [Isaiah 43:26].

Regarding the “Now” in vs one, I am in agreement with your explanation because in the Greek “Now” can mean but, also, ..it is a continuative word that moves the previous verse forward….

Substance of hope is Hebrews 11:3, the evidence of faith is Hebrews 11:2, our conviction in action brings imputation of righteousness (good report) as Hebrews 11:4-40 evidence of faith.

PTL Pastor, Dr. Jones, I am ecstatic to say that we have gotten rid of the other book and am now using a book with the same title and information. Question. You stated that the writer in vs. 1 is giving a description of faith and not a definition. In my book, under the heading, “In Depth” it states that this is a definition of faith. …The author want the believer to have a complete Confidence and trust in God…” these words define trust not describe. What say you? In simplest of words please explain.
