I need to watch this every single morning. I’m bound to making faith about me so badly. It’s kept me from saving faith and true submission to Christ.

The Lord is gracious enough, He's been so kind and gentle in reminding me every single day

I'll be honest, Please pray for me. I deliberately rejected Christ for so long, almost a year. I was a professing Christian, and I walked away with the intention to get saved later, and to just enjoy sin for a little while. I was an apostate and now I am scared I might commit the unforgivable sin. My issue is that I don't want to surrender my sin. I know I can't do it without God but I dont want God. I wish I wanted God, but I'm not sure if that feeling is genuine or not. I still love sin and I wish I didnt love my sin, I'm not sure if this feeling is sincere or genuine. I've been praying for God to make me hate my sin, but I'm not sure if those prayers are sincere or genuine. Please pray that my desire for salvation becomes genuine and sincere and that God saves me.

I often hear in some prayers « Lord we want you, we desire you » and in those times, when I thought I was far away from God because of my guilt in my ongoing sin, I thought « It’s not true Lord, I don’t desire you and that’s the problem », that’s when I began to pray to God that « I know I should have the desire to live for you God, but the truth is.. I don’t, so Lord, you see how desperate I am of a human being, I can’t even want you Lord, so, even though I might not desire you, please give me this desire for You, give me the desire to actually seek you, that I might come face to face with you, I don’t want to surrender my sin, but Lord please make me surrender my sin, help me to give you everything Lord, you only Christ are all I have and my only hope, please save me from myself and my flawed desires Lord. » Please keep praying that the Lord will brake this love for sin, keep praying ! I will join you in this and pray for you! I do think that in order to hate sin, there must be a love for God,… and to develop a love for God, there needs to be reading of the Word: the reading of the Word continuously, again and again, to see what Christ has done, but mostly to let this reality sink in our soul until it breaks us, until the sacrifice of the Lamb shatters us unto our knees in prayers of gratefulness. Keep your focus on Jesus Christ and His sacrifice for you on the Cross! Looking constantly at your sin (even though I know it’s hard because sin takes so much space) will only lead to guilt, failure and relapsing into sin, … so as my pastor says « For every look you take at your own heart, you must take a 1000 looks at Christ » Much love and courage to you!!! The Lord has you in His hands, He will make you come back to Him no matter how many times you come back to sin. Consider reading the Psalm 51 :) Grace be to you !

Here are a few verses for you! Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV Acts 16:30-31 KJV Romans 4:5 KJV 1 John 5:13 KJV John 1:12 KJV John Chapter 3 KJV 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 KJV If you believe that Jesus Christ paid it all on the cross, dying for your sins, being buried and rising again from the dead, aren't looking to yourself for your salvation (anything you do, any works, anything like that) then you are saved. Please get off this calvanists site and understand that the gift (free) of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. God bless you!

Brother, I don't know if you're still seeking an answer, but if you are, or someone else is asking the same questions, let me fire back some questions to maybe help your reconsider the whole premise of your doubts. What would change in your walk if you knew that you had committed unpardonable sin? How would you live differently if you knew for sure that your name was not in the book of life? Would you give up on this whole Christianity thing? Paul said he wished he could be cut off from Christ if only his Jewish kinsmen would believe. Moses struck the rock and was told he could not enter the promised land, but he still followed the Lord and led his people through the wilderness to the Jordan. A warrior doesn't ask his leader if he'll survive the fight or if he can be guaranteed to make it home. No, he asks only for what will make him the best possible soldier he can be. Because he believes in the mission and his commander. Because he knows the better he fights, the more he can be used by his commander to help save all those around him and back home from the enemy. So, do you really believe our sin cuts us off completely from God (or is sin not a deal breaker in the end)? Do you really believe that Jesus is not just one of many ways to the Father, but the only way, through his sacrifice? Do you believe there is ultimately nothing of worth other than being with Him and that that communion with God is the only thing that could ever make eternal life a blessing and not a curse? If you believe these things, then why aren't you following Christ with your whole heart? There are other souls at stake here, not just your own, why aren't you fighting for them? If you want to be a Christian warrior, then pick up your doubts, pick up your cross, and follow hard after him. Maybe you will find that you can gain your life by losing it for Him. But you won't know until you put it all, and I mean ALL of it, this life and more importantly the next, on the line. Trust and obey. Pray on it.
