I'm not a digital person at all. Maybe it's my age, but I have always been a stationary geek and I love my many pens and pencils and highlighters and decorative note pads and washi tape, etc. I don't own premium Bibles because I know I am going to be marking them up in various ways, so the less costly the better, for me. I was looking for a planner that could act as an index of sorts for the sermon series or just an individual sermon, where I put the notes (basically, which notebook), and even whether I watched it on TV or utilized an app. I use a regular spiral bound notebook for my sermon notes and then go back and write out all of the scriptures from the sermon/lesson, affixing them to the page with washi. I have an index on the front cover of each notebook that tells me what page each sermon is on. I also am going to be using a One Year Chronological Bible for 2025, and I plan to use some library bookshelf blank stickers I bought to add to my journal I plan to start using for next year so I can write the name of the book I finished reading in the blank books on the shelf to help me mark my progress because I know I will probably not finish the one year program in the time given. I'm an old dog trying to learn new tricks, so transitioning from a large wall calendar to keep track of my personal stuff is also going to be a challenge for me. I'm not at all used to having to open up a book first thing in the morning to see what I have going on. I'm already using lots of washi tape, and I will also start using some stickers, just for fun, to fancy up my journal pages. I have really been enjoying watching the journaling and planning community too. I love to see how each person uses their gifts to be creative.

I have used my IPAD for extensive note taking and I've found that a Paperlike screen protector works wonders. The writing experience was much more enjoyable and it softened the glare. I'd highly recommend it for those who are sceptical about digital writing or planning. The sensory exoerience is similar to writing on paper and helps the transition if you are particular about writing on glass.

I definitely understand falling into a certain season of planning, Bible study, and journaling. I retired early and am just a couple of years into using a planner and such. I am still discovering what works best for me. Thank you for the videos!

Yes, everything has its season. Beautiful and thoughtful planning for your season. Thanks for sharing. I tried to do the notes in my study Bible as I read through a chronological plan but could only keep up mostly with the audio passages. Hope to go through it again next year and this time complete the journaling in the margins. 2 years sounds more doable I'll have to see if I can find one to follow.😊

Thank you for sharing your video. I am in the season of desiring to be really quiet before the Lord and listening intently to what He is saying. Solitude and reflection. Please don't misunderstand. I love, love, love bible study, and have done inductive bible studies of each book at least twice. And I love that - the outlines and lists, explanations, NT Greek, etc. But right now, because of all that has happened this last year - the Lord has laid it on my heart to "be still and know that I am God". And for that, analog works best for me. I have used just a plain journal for some time, and that works. But I decided to use a planner for 2025 focusing on solitude, prayer, reflection, praise and gratitude - all that He chooses to speak to my heart through His word. Yes, I will continue bible reading and study, but my focus for 2025 is on listening deeply to Him. But I am really interested in your ESV Digital Journaling app. I need to check it out.

I do the majority digital these days because I travel quiet a bit and I wanted my items with me all the time when I couldn’t travel with all my tools. I’ve done it for 2 years now and it’s been so much better with my consistency. I also think it helps me not be such a perfectionist because I know I can erase it. I do have a prayer Bible that I use daily and travel with and will forever because it has changed my prayer life. I did buy a digital Bible and downloaded a free ESV but to be honest I use the Bible App so much and I love the fact that I can do compare translations, bookmark, make notes, and follow some of my fav preachers and participate in plans. I still take my Bible to church and take notes and I’ll transfer anything over that knocked me over the head…😂. Sorry I know it’s long but I get so excited when people love digital like me because I know how consistent it has made me.

I love how thorough you are with detailing your Bible study and journaling your daily life. Wondering why you chose a Cousin rather than a blank notebook? There are lots of grid notebooks with the same TMR paper. Also - check out The Bible Recap. It’s a great way to actually read and understand the Bible in a one year format. I’m finishing up my 2nd read through this year.

Processing how I'm going to do faith recording for 2025. Currently using a rings binder that I do like but I have an extra 2025 wonderland222 B6 that I'm considering using instead. Thank you for showing how you're using the sections. It was helpful to me. 💙

So.. as your personal Bible notes increases and gets added onto over time does the left side expand to correlate? Hope I’m explaining this ok - I could just imagine some places in the Bible having lots of notes that take up tons of room on the right side and then it either gets tinier and tinier or out of sync with the corresponding scripture.

@@justpassinthru813 it's a great question. What I would do in this case is add an additional blank note page after the Bible page all filled up with notes. The page I add would not be included in any hyperlinks but it is an easy way to keep going with my notes. Hope that makes sense.
