As a spouse who was deeply betrayed in marriage, yet didn’t want divorce, the beginning of this video is so heart wrenching because like she said, we all want the course of our lives to fit with what we believe in our faith! And that’s really excruciating when others use their agency to destroy that course, suddenly leaving things out-of-fit. But I’m thankful for healing and progress, and the miracles that come to ensure those things happen 🙏🏼

My parents divorced but stayed "friends" there whole adult life. My parents taught me to love like the savior would, that means showing kindness and compassion. My dad got cancer and my mom was there (hospice nurse) for him until the end. My son was adopted at 11 years old. Things went great for 4 years until he became 15. He has mental illness and he attacked me. He had the "I'm going to kill you" look in his eyes. I had to do marshal arts on him. He got mad that I did and left our home. He doesn't want any contact or anything to do with us. I just have to remind myself that God though Jesus can "fix" our family. People can change!

My adult daughter worried about our family after my sealing to her father was broken before I remarried. Now I worry because he has left the Church and returned to Catholicism. This video helped me understand what my Branch Counselor and former Bishopric Counselor told me. God has the answers and I just have to do my best here in mortality.

Oh how I love Jesus bc he first loved me! Jesus is..., the way the truth and the life! He suffered horribly on that wicked cross, shed every drop of his blood for all our sins, pass, present and future, so we may be saved. Yes, when confess our sins and we accept Jesus Christ as our Savior, our Redeemer, the Son of God!!! Then, all our sins are washed away and yes....., ALL of them! If we sin again, falling in to temptation, then we must repent, and you will know the Lord God will forgive you when you come to him and pray with a Sincere heart.

I was told by revelation, after praying about my situation, to divorce my husband. I had three children under the age of five years. God knew that all I ever wanted was a happy stable marriage and family. I was shocked. I would not have made this decision on my own. Looking back 26 years on what has been the most stressful and difficult life, I see that it was still the best and right choice. Sometimes hard things have to be done for the greater good later on. When repentance and change will not be chosen, then God has to choose for us. My children and I have suffered more than I can say, but I know that the day will come when God will make it all up to us. We just have to be patient and trust him, and remain faithful.

I went through the exact same thing. I find the teaching that you need all those sealings to be together forever very harmful. When I was 18 it made me crash into a deep depression that took 5yrs to fully recover from. But that still didn't take my questions away. For 16yrs straight I asked every church leader I could: Am I an eternal orphan? Only to hear them brush it off with "I wouldn't worry about it, you're still a family with God". As if that could fix a yearning to be with your loved ones after death?! Anyway, I found peace through the Grace of Christ. I now know God is love and whosoever lives in love, lives in God and God in them and perfect love has indeed cast out my fears (1 John 4). Love binds, God is love, God binds us together. Where there is love people will see each other again after this life!

I come from a part member family & I felt marginalised as a kid cause my parents weren't sealed. After years of praying about it & learning more about the atonement of Jesus Christ, I sensed, I didn't need to worry about me being family-less in the after life. He has already made the way for me to have a family forever.

There are certain situations where divorce is advised. The people in the church can be a little judgey sometimes because they're human too. But that's why it's important to know your worth and not care what people think of you or what you're going through. The gospel is good, but the church is still full of imperfect people who jump to conclusions and don't communicate very well.

Divorce is a hiccup in the family tree. It is a man-made thing, it's not of God. I've done over 11,000 families in my family genealogy and I have found many divorces. Plus my family is also divorced, my mother and father hated each other immensely in life. I believe that they have made restitution in death. The sealing ordinances are still in place between us and our mothers and fathers and between them and their mothers and fathers. The chain can never be broken. We have a loving God and we have to be thankful that we don't make the Judgment that is totally up to him and his son Jesus Christ.
@arqueantoaltair22104 жыл бұрын
The video is good!, it gives a sense of hope, but it doesn't reveal whats going to really happen. The true church of Jesus Christ shouldn't have so many questions with no answers, specially referring to marriage, there is no official declaration to what happen when a marriage dissolves, nobody knows who do kids belong or if they belong anymore to any of the parents, there is no answer neither to why do women's cannot marry again unless they dissolve previous marriage and why this policy don't apply to man. Dont misunderstood me, read carefully when I say "There is no official declaration", all the stuff that we have are just rumors.

If you really looked to Jesus, you would have read the New Testament and realized Jesus only requires faith in him. He does not require religion, tithing, temple ordinances, etc... Only faith.

The crime is that the lds people tend to completly ignore or even oppose sexual dynamics and human nature. Women and men use in sneaky to try to gain advantage, but of corse women have privlege in divorce. The issue is not slme enotional healing or reconnecting with parents. The issue is having a true sense of self as a individuel outside of a family unit or social structure.
