@@classyasphuck True, but he’s still human. I saw a show with FNM where he was sick and spent some of the show lying down while singing. It was still good, but definitely not him at his best.

I would use the word misplaced :D In my case, being the Gopnik kid born in mid 80s Eastern block, I was familiar with the name. Saw a lot of FNM patches commonly sold, kinda knew some of their more radio friendly songs and basically had them in the same rank as, say, U2/RHCP in my head. How amazed was I when I first heard the entire Angel Dust album a couple of decades later as a fan of The Dillinger Escape Plan while discovering Mike Patton's discography. Well, another decade and a half later and I must have seen every FNM gig on KZbin :D

from 53.10 I guess that crowd surfing feels significantly less safe now than it did in 1992. coos he must have been pumping some adrenaline.- he manages to secure his jewelry and pull his pants up with enough time to be on the stage for the final chorus of one of the last and memorable songs of the set. WOW. but before the denoument, he checks his pockets - he processes what he's lost and gets over it in less than a bar of music, whilst singing and with the crescendo in the last ber before the climax happening, not only makes the decision to take over the filming the show, but actually takes full control of the camera, including wearing the headphones (good job camerman there) but he band hevnt had to sepeat bars to accomodate the antics, because and rather than miss his cue, he'd already shoved the mic in his mouth. Those of us old enough to have been in the scene in the early 90's all know how that sounds- it has happened snd been a key part of some all time great performsnces, but it sounds like a mess. But this is Mike Patton and there's diction, timing, pitch amd the mic itself is just resisting overload. as if just the thing of him with camera wasn't funny enough. Beyond genius - almost superhuman in speed and timing. i cant stop looking at it.
