I never would have thought they perform Zombie Eaters post The Real Thing at such a large venue. Zombie Eaters was one of my favorites from that album. It's weird that The Real Thing was the album that helped me discover FNM, but over time was the album I listened to least, but as of lately songs like Zombie Eaters and From Out of Nowhere are at the front of my FNM playlist.
@ThumperOx
@ThumperOx 6 жыл бұрын
I know exactly what you mean re The Real Thing. It blew my 15 year old mind when it came out and for at least a year afterwards I must have listened to it several hundred times start to finish. But throughout the millions of years since then I don't think I've chosen to listen to a single tune from that album even once. I'll still give We Care A Lot and Introduce Yourself a spin once in a blue moon and every so often I'll sift through KZbin for live versions of songs from Angel Dust onward but this is the first clip I've clicked on featuring anything from The Real Thing. And you're right; Zombie Eaters is awesome and I think this version sounds fucking fantastic.

Digging the grave drew my attention to FNM and midlife crisis made me fall in love with them. And ashes to ashes made me look at music differently. But zombie eaters is special, this song is something else.

I was born in '92 and I've become a fan of FNM over the past few years. During lockdown they are pretty much all I have listened to. I discovered this song and I think it might be my favourites in their entire catalogue. It's amazing that his voice can sound just like it did nearly 30 years ago in the higher parts of this song, this man is a vocal genius.

I imagine he doesn’t care for singing these songs anymore. I guess I understand. To see him sing this with some effort makes me so happy. Such a small thing to him but important to a lot of people. Takes me right back to 89-90 driving around with my brother in a jeep with the top off.

I’m a good little fan- I come to every show & buy the merch etc & despite injuries that have prevented the use of one foot (I’m not even really supposed to walk on it!) I still limp through the crowd, up to the front & show my many years of love...so GIVE ME ZOMBIE EATERS!!!!

I was At this gig all the way from Canada. I was there just for sabbath but stayed for Motörhead who were amazing as always and then FNM came on. I only heard Epic and immediately after this performance I felt so bad for dismissing them as the band who did Epic. I was blown away and am now a FNM fan!!!!

You were there for Sabbath (last performer) but stayed for Motörhead (second performer)? I did pretty much the same thing as you in regard to FNM.
@YouCantDeleteDenzelL
@YouCantDeleteDenzelL 9 жыл бұрын
MRFUCKOFF202 well I stayed for them because I was there early enough and wanted to see them. I'll admit I almost skipped FNM altogether but after having gotten a beer waiting some 40 minutes in line I decided to go get a good spot for Sabbath by sitting through FNM... so glad I stayed. Their music has been playing endlessly in my house since.
@MRFUCKOFF202
@MRFUCKOFF202 9 жыл бұрын
Scott Baldwin Oh right. I missed Motörhead because after making the trip to London I couldn't be arsed running over to Hyde Park from the hotel to catch them. I got there literally just as FNM walked on stage and got a pretty shit position far over at the side, but it was still awesome. I did want to see FNM but I only knew Epic and Midlife Crisis and didn't expect their huge catalog of awesome songs. Now some of their songs are in my top 30 most played songs. Those queues were awful. Me and a mate waited 30-40 minutes essentially for food poisoning!
@YouCantDeleteDenzelL
@YouCantDeleteDenzelL 9 жыл бұрын
MRFUCKOFF202 ouch... I just had chicken wings and wedges before motorhead then after that just focused on getting beer and since FNM didn't leave my spot since. Then got some McDonald's on Picadilly Circus after the show. (I was starving okay) XD.

One of my favorite bands. Just a unique kind of sound that fit the post grunge era that freed us from the 80's. . Michael 's vocals with a bad ass band behind him was mezmorizing. I saw them in my home town of Cleveland Ohio at the age of 18. Still one of the best shows ever. A definite epic experience.

You're everything that's why I cling to you When I emerge my thoughts converge to you To you The world is so small compared to you And everybody's wrong compared to you To you I begin to see through your eyes All the former mysteries are no surprise So now, you listen 'Cause I'm omniscient Hey look at me lady I'm just a little baby You're lucky to have me I'm cute and sweet as candy As charming as a fable I'm innocent and disabled So hug me and kiss me Then wipe my butt and piss me I hope you never leave 'Cause who would hear me scream Nobody understands Except the toys in my hands So now you listen 'Cause I'm omniscient Hey look at me lady I'm just a little baby If I smile, then you smile Then I'll get mad for awhile I melt in your mouth And in your hands whenever I can But I really do nothing Except kickin' and fussin' I like to make a mess I laugh at your distress I sit all day in my crib Absorbing all you give I'm helpless I'm flawless I'm a machine Give me, I need my toys Keep me hot keep me strong keep me everlong
