When talking to the Lord we have to be persistent determine the Lord already know I need I want but we have to talk to him like we talking to a best friend telling them what it is that we want and the thing about that is God already knows what is the conversation that we have with him it's the faithfulness that we have although we are impatient people when it comes down to something that is important when we in dire need of but we also have to maintain that patience and hold on to the belief and faith that we know that God is going to work it out. Pastor you brought up a point that I've never considered before, did Jesus deliberately not answer the woman so that her faith would grow even more? The woman was concerned about her daughter, but Jesus saw a bigger opportunity to use this circumstance as a way of increasing the woman's faith. "Even the dogs..." that is the realm of hard core, unshakable faith. Lord grant me this kind of faith in you.

Lord give me a crumb!! According to the Barnes' notes on the bible this answer was made to the woman, the "Lost sheep of the house of Israel" were the Jews. He came first to them. He came as their expected Messiah. He came to preach the gospel himself to the Jews only. Afterwards it was the ministry of Jesus confined, but the ministry of Jesus was confined almost to the Jews!

He didn't answer her because he already knew what she was coming there for. And he spoke to his disciples because he had to remind them what is purpose is for it is to heal and deliver people to come over to come over to God to believe and if he had just sent her away then the Pharisees would have had reasons to say that he was not the Messiah but he knew once he healed the child he would get the glory and this is the main purpose of why God does what he does so that he can get the glory and we can spread the word spread the Gospel.

Regarding your question as to whom Jesus was speaking to, I’ll say the woman and His disciples who wanted Jesus to send her away. Jesus wasn’t refusing her request but making her or them aware of Israel’ place in God’s plan of salvation. He was born and sent under the law to redeem those who were under the law (His chosen)…Galatians 4:4-5…what say you?

1. The disciples were trying to get Jesus to dismiss her because often times they had the wrong concept of what Jesus came for, just like when they asked Jesus at another time and if He wanted them to call down fire from heaven on someone. 2. Was he really testing her faith, or the disciples, since they thought He wasn't going to do anything And her crying after them being a Gentile was probably getting on their nerves; but I feel like Jesus was letting them know that the barriers between Jews and Gentiles was going to fall through Him.

my brother,the one who was witnessing this account of what happened, is actually the father himself, all this of what you are teaching concerning about the canaanite woman, had already happened, jesus had already done the works ,the father himself is just witnessing what he saw, (he's allseeing,all knowing)jesus had already gone back to heaven, the holy ghost had been poured out upon his followers, acts 2chap ,and through the anointing the father had revealed to each writer of the gospels, what he witnessed to be written for us that would come after them,now as what you see in mark,7,verses 3thru 4,that you were expounding on, the father is saying, for the pharisees, and all the Jews except they wash their hands, oft,eat not,holding the tradition of the elders,you see he is the only one that can witness to what all the Jews did because he is the only one that's all seeing,no one in heaven, nor in earth, he created, has his abilities, now in verse 4 of mark 7,he shows things they did that was personal, that only he knew he said, and when they come from the market, except they wash they eat not, and many other things there be which they have received to hold, as the washing of cups and pots, Braden vessels and tables,just wanted to expound a little on what the father witnessed to, and to each writer he gave an account of what happened, when it comes to these teachings, it takes him to put it altogether of the order it actually took place, that's why so many find what's written sometimes confusing or they say contradictions but it's not, it must be taught by him, he is the one that put things all together for it to be written, hope this is a little enlighten as far as the lesson.

Pastor Jones I love you teaching the Sunday School lesson. But I disagree with you when you stated that Jesus is a Jew. Can you please give me a scripture that says Jesus was a Jew. Jesus’s father was the Holy Spirit. Jesus’s mother came from the tribe Judah which was Hebrew and her father came from the tribe of Levi which was Hebrew. Jesus probably was raised in the Jewish tradition. The Natural Jesus was Hebrew and the spirit part of Jesus was spiritual. No Jew in Jesus Christ. Love you Deacon Curtis Gayden Seattle
