I had lot's of tumors on my head when I was a child and people said I was always crying. I've lived a long life and seen lot's of happiness and sadness. I would trade my life for any child that has any life threatening illness. Love and hugs to all the poor children.

Faith, you are such a beautiful person!!! I hope you know you are not alone!! I was diagnosed with a brain tumor when I was 4 months old! The doctors said I was lucky to make it through!! I was also diagnosed with hydrocephalus, water on the brain, which requires a shunt to drain the access fluid to my stomach! Since my surgery as a baby, I have had 8 shunt revision surgeries! I hope you're thankful you don't have hydrocephalus!! Blessings to you, sweet girl!!

i remember I had a similar diagnosis with my brain cancer at the age of 15. I had a pineal ependymoma mostly resected form my pineal gland, along with the majority of my cerebellum, as well as my pineal gland in general because of scar tissue due to meningitis. I have awful balance now, and I'm 22 currently. I walk with a walker, and have had 1 recurrence, successfully treated with radiation. I currently have a 3rd recurrence, and will talk with my oncology team as to how we'll proceed, whether we go with further surgery, which, my surgeon has informed me that he'd rather not go through with, as well as myself. Surgery isn't fun, and the therapies that go along with it aren't either. Radiation left me feeling drained most days that I had it, and I lost some of my hair. Not permanent, but not enjoyable either. I applaud my oncological team, and will most likely go with whatever they choose. I wish you all the best, and a full recovery with as little side effects from whatever treatment that you choose to progress with. Thanks for sharing your story. I understand how difficult it is to open yourself up to criticism, and critique by other people.
