I met my wife when working night shift, we moved in together. Drive to work and took our breaks and lunch together. We did everything together, never went somewhere without the other. We still worked for the same company but I got transferred to the retail division and worked a different shift. We raised two great kids but I was happiest in the early years. I miss who we were before life happened. We are still Married almost 40 years but what was once an all consuming fire is just embers that keep us warm at night.

Too bad she didn't seem to recognize that she had already been cheating by her involvement in an emotional relationship with another man until her husband interviened. Anytime a married person engage in hand holding, hugging, kissing, sexting, or engaging in intimate conversation with someone other than your spouse you are cheating on your marriage vow and your marriage partner. Her mistake started the first time she listened when the ap began his clandestine moves on her. A habit of respect for her husband, her marriage vow, and herself would have prevented her from even starting down that path.

Sometimes, if their love is true, a second chance can make the relationship strong. A broken bone heals stronger than before if it is set right. Some people can never get over the lack of trust issue; if you can, vigilance may still be needed. I was in the Navy for 20 years and trusted my wife, but I never let my guard down. Everyone is human and can make a bad decision.
