This is why I love great cover bands as you can see them in a small venue sitting at a table with a cold beer. That is making it! The haters don't seem to live in the real world. Journey is a brand name just like Apple or Ford. Whether a product is made in China or USA it's still a product. With Arnel it's a breath of reviving air for a dying brand or if you prefer "band". It's a good move that they didn't go for another white singer because no one would book them. His stage presence, sense of humor, voice and high energy make him a class act. I have seen too many concerts to count, and this one took my breath away.... left me wanting more! Saw Journey last night with Arnel! Didn't know what to expect but what can I say? OUTSTANDING! What a fantastic front man! Sounds even more like Steve Perry now. Crazy! Would definitely see them again (hopefully without as many guitar solos! Sheesh!). Also appreciate that he sings the songs as they were originally done allowing fans to sing along and enjoy it!

A friend told me she remembered Arnel singing in a bar in HongKong decades ago when Arnel was probably in his 20’s? the bar was always jammed packed and overflowing with audience to watch and listen to him sing. And those American Navy personnel based in the Philippines who used to frequent the bar where Arnel used to sing because they thought he sounded so authentic to them. Even then people recognised his talent.

Saw Journey in concert two days ago, and Arnel has a superb voice - as good live as I've heard many singers sound on studio albums. That takes a great singer. I was really impressed, and am now a fan.
