The goal is to make these beautiful praises of the Creator come up from your heart and roll off of your tongue with ease. 1. Quran: Ultimately, the best dhikr is reading the Quran. Reward: You will be rewarded 10 rewards for each letter read. This prize basically illustrates the weight of the Quran in terms of where it should be in your life and the importance you should give it. Seeking Barakah of the Qur’an is worth more than hustling to increase our social status or profit margins - these things will die with us in this life and will add to nothing to us in the next if they weren’t mindful, done with the right intentions and aligned with our purpose in life. 2. SubhanAllah or SubhanAllah wa bihamdihi (“I praise Allah (or All praise if to Allah) above all attributes that do not suit His Majesty.”) Reward: A tree will be planted for you in Paradise. Nice! Start growing your own forest right now! Another hadith relates that whoever says this 100 times a day, his/her sins will be forgiven even if they were as much as the foam of the sea [Bukhari]. 3. Alhamdulillah (“All praise is for Allah”) Reward: Your scales will be tipped on the Day of Judgment, full of rewards! Abu Malik Al-Ash’ari (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Purity is half of iman (faith). ‘Al-hamdu lillah (all praise and gratitude belong to Allah)’ fills the scales, and ‘subhan-Allah (how far is Allah from every imperfection) and ‘Al-hamdulillah (all praise and gratitude belong to Allah)’ fill that which is between heaven and earth.” [Related by Muslim] 4. SubhanAllah wal hamdulillah, wa la ilahaillAllah wa Allahu akbar “I praise Allah (or All Praise if to Allah) above all attributes that do not suit His Majesty. All praise is for Allah. There is no deity worthy of worship besides Allah. Allah is Great.” Reward: This combination of dhikr is the one most beloved by Allah, subhana wa ta’ala. When you say them, sins fall off of you like leaves off of trees. Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “The uttering of the words: “Subhan-Allah (Allah is free from imperfection), Al-hamdu lillah (all praise is due to Allah), La ilaha illallah (there is no true god except Allah) and Allahu Akbar (Allah is the Greatest)’ is dearer to me than anything over which the sun rises.” [Muslim]. Also Anas bin Malik narrated that the Prophet ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) passed by a tree with dry leaves, so he struck it with his staff, making the leaves fall. Then he said: “Indeed, ‘all praise is due to Allah, (Al-Ḥamdulillāhh)’ ‘glory to Allah, (Subḥān Allāh)’ ‘none has the right to be worshipped by Allah, (Lā Ilāha Illallāh)’ and ‘Allah is the greatest (Allāhu Akbar)’ cause the sins to fall from the worshipper, just as the leaves of this tree fall.” [Jami` at-Tirmidhi] 5. La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah (“There is no power or might except (by) Allah.”) Reward: You will enter through a special door in Paradise for those who oft use this remembrance. Qais bin Sa`d bin `Ubadah narrated that his father offered him to the Prophet (ﷺ) to serve him. He said: “So the Prophet (ﷺ) passed by me, and I had just performed Salat, so he poked me with his foot and said: ‘Should I not direct you to a gate from the gates of Paradise?’ I said: ‘Of course.’ He (ﷺ) said: ‘There is no might or power except with Allah (Lā ḥawla wa lā quwwata illā billāh).’” [Jami` at-Tirmidhi] 6. SubhanAllah (x33), Alhamdulillah (x33), Allahu akbar (x34) Can be recited after salat and before you go to bed/sleep. (“I praise Allah (or All praise if to Allah) above all attributes that do not suit His Majesty. All praise is to Allah. Allah is Great.”) Reward: We know that this dhikr is said after each salah, but when Fatima raḍyAllāhu 'anha (may Allāh be pleased with her) the daughter of the Prophet came to her father requesting a servant to help with the household, the Messenger of Allah ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) told her to repeat the dhikr before her sleep and the results would be better than having a servant. Abu Huraira reported that Fatima came to Allah’s Apostle (ﷺ) and asked for a servant and told him of the hardship of household work. He said: You would not be able to get a servant from us. May I direct you to what is better than the servant for you? Recite Subhaana Allah thirty-three times, al- Hamdu li-Allah thirty-three times and Allah-o-Akbar thirty-four times as you go to bed. This hadith has been narrated on the authority of Suhail with the same chain of transmitters. [Sahih Mulsim] 7. Astaghfirullah (“I seek Allah’s forgiveness”) Reward: You will get protection from Allah’s punishment. In Surah Nuh, ayah 10-12, Allah relates the story of Prophet Nuh 'alayhi'l-salām (peace be upon him) and how he instructed his people to seek Allah’s subḥānahu wa ta'āla (glorified and exalted be He) forgiveness. If they would just say “astagfirullah,” Allah would send them rain in abundance, and increase their wealth and children, and give them gardens and rivers in Paradise. “And said, ‘Ask forgiveness of your Lord. Indeed, He is ever a Perpetual Forgiver. He will send [rain from] the sky upon you in [continuing] showers. And give you increase in wealth and children and provide for you gardens and provide for you rivers. [Qur’an 71: 10-12] 8. Ayahtul-Kursi [2:255] “Allah - there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of [all] existence. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is [presently] before them and what will be after them, and they encompass not a thing of His knowledge except for what He wills. His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not. And He is the Most High, the Most Great.” ‘Allahu laaa ‘ilaaha ‘illaa Huu. ‘Al-Hayyul-Qayyuum. Laa ta’-khuzuhuu sinatunw-wa laa nawm. Lahuu maa fissamaawaati wa ma fil-‘arz. Man-zallazii yashfa-‘u’indahuuu ‘illaa bi-‘iznih? Ya’-lamu maa bayna ‘aydiihim wa maa khalfahum. Wa laa yuhiituuna bi-shay-‘im-min ‘ilmihiii ‘illaa bimaa shaaa’. Wasi-‘a Kursiyyu-hus-Samaawaati wal-‘arz; wa laa ya-‘uuduhuu hifzu-humaa wa Huwal-‘Aliyyul-‘Aziim. Reward: When you recite this verse before you go to sleep, Allah sends a guardian to you and no shaytan will come to you until morning. Those who read this after each salah shall enter Paradise. Narrated Muhammad bin Sirin: Abu Huraira said, “Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) put me in charge of the Zakat of Ramadan (i.e. Zakat-ul-Fitr). Someone came to me and started scooping some of the foodstuff of (Zakat) with both hands. I caught him and told him that I would take him to Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ).” Then Abu Huraira told the whole narration and added “He (i.e. the thief) said, ‘Whenever you go to your bed, recite the Verse of “Al-Kursi” (2.255) for then a guardian from Allah will be guarding you, and Satan will not approach you till dawn.’ ” On that the Prophet (ﷺ) said, “He told you the truth, though he is a liar, and he (the thief) himself was the Satan.” [Sahih Al Bukhari] Use these adhkar (supplications) often and mindfully as a way of seeking Barakah and being in Allah’s presence. Say them as you draw close to your Creator and He will always remain by your side.

A woman can recite Quran during her periods in these conditions; 1. She can read from her mind if she has memorized it. 2. She should wear gloves or cover hands with cloth and touch Quran text with a pen or pencil, while she is studying Quran or taking regular quran classes. 3. Or on her mobile as it is not a mashaf (but I am extra careful with it, I do not read quran during periods on mobile). I learned these conditions from a bayan from a saudi sheikh and I follow it. Never heard of any fatwa on reading Quran directly from mashaf while mensturating (except while learning it in class, with the condition described above) or in sexually impure state. والله اعلم

Can i read the the quran that also carries the translation along with the arabic script when I'm in my periods? I've been told that for holding such a quran i don't have to take wudu. Also, why is it that women should not make direct skin contact with quran while in menstruation? Is that because arabic script itself is holy? Then perhaps we should abstain from touching arabic letters at all? Please do reply me. I read Quran along with its translation after fajr as well as magrib. It gives me inner strength. We can recite these verses with the intention for duaa like fatiha for shifaa and ayatul kursi for protection and whatever else that wud be for duaa purposes therefore we can recite and it falls under knowing these verses to heart However to not to touch the musaf in an impurity state wud be the same as when we cannot touch the mushaf without wudhu. Therefore we should not touch the quraan in this state until we have taken a gusl it would make you feel much better also knowing u clean and pure to look inside and if if u want to recite by heart verses for duaa is better than to look inside for proper recitation and trying to follow up from chapter to chapter to complete as per normal state of purity is better to keep away until pure to continue with your khatam or completion

Actually you shouldn't hasten to do ghusl . Its narrated in a hadheeth by Aisha r.a. Second the end of the menstruation is signified by the cessation of the flow of blood, which can be recognized in two ways: i)The flow of a white discharge. This is a white discharge resembling whitewash, and it normally flows after the menstruation. Its colour changes according to the differences in the conditions of women. ii)The drying of the vagina. She finds that out by inserting a peice of cotton into her private part, and it comes out dry - without any sign of blood, or yellowish or brownish discharge.

Assalamu aleykum, according to the hanafi, Shafii and Hanbali schools of thought it is impermissible. These schools of thought are backed by hadeeth of Prophet peace be upon him. Masha Allah youtube is a good platform to share knowledge, but please make sure what you say and what you are listening to is authentic. You can't touch an actual Qur'an because you need to be in a state of wudhu to do so, and you can't make wudhu whilst on menses. Seperately, some scholars say that whilst using a phone to read Qur'an, the phone becomes a form of mushaf too so you shouldn't directly touch the screen to move along the words. - this has a difference of opinion, but the first bit about touching an actual Qur'an is right. With respect to the issue of women in menses reciting Quran, there are differences of opinion among the great Imams of Fiqh and scholars of Hadith. The following is narrated from these scholars: 1). Imam Abu Hanifah and the scholars of his madhhab, Imam Shafi’ee and the scholars of his madhhab, Imam Ahmad and the scholars of his madhhab, the overwhelming majority of Sahabah, and the overwhelming majority of Taabi’een have all given the official verdict that it is not permissible for a woman in menses to recite the Quran. The same prohibition is given for one who is in the state of major ritual impurity ( Janabah). According to scholars of the madhhab of Imam Abu Hanifah, it will be allowed for a woman in menses to recite something of the Quran which is less than a verse without the intention of reciting Quran. It will also be allowed for her to recite Dhikr and duas with the intention of Dhikr and duas even if it be from the Quran. 2). Imam Bukhari, Dawood Dhahiri and Ibn Al Mundhir hold the opinion that it is permissible for a woman in menses and for a person ( male or female) in the state of major ritual impurity ( Janabah) to recite the Quran. 3). There are two opinions given by Imam Malik. In one opinion, he states that it is permissible for a woman in menses and one in Janabah to recite Quran, and in another opinion, he states that it is not permissible for one in Janabah to recite Quran, but a woman in menses can recite it since the days of her menses may be long ( which she has no control over). The majority of scholars have taken their proof from Ahadith that clearly establish that a woman in menses cannot recite the Quran. In this regard, it is narrated from Abdullah bin Umar ( RA) that the Prophet ( SAW) said, ‘A woman in menses and one in Janabah must not recite anything from the Quran’. ( Tirmidhi- Chapter which states that the Junub and Haa’idh should not recite the Quran). After quoting this narration, Imam Tirmidhi states, ‘This is the verdict of most of the scholars from the Sahabah of the Prophet ( SAW) and the Taabi’een( 2nd generation of scholars) and those after them like Sufyan Ath Thawri, Abdullah bin Mubarak, (Imam ) Ash Shafi’ee, ( Imam)Ahmad , Ishaaq. They have all stated that a woman in menses and one in Janabah must not recite anything from the Quran except a piece of a verse’. ( Sunan At Tirmidhi; Nasr Al Baari- Commentary of Sahih Al Bukhari. Vol 2 pgs 269-272 Maktaba Ash Shaikh Karachi). The above Hadith of Ibn Umar has also been mentioned in Sunan Ibn Majah and Al Baihaqi. Ad Dar Qutni has narrated it from Jabir ( RA) . Scholars of Hadith have mentioned that although some scholars have mentioned the narration of Ibn Umar to be weak, there are other narrations that strengthen it and grade it to accepted and not lower than being classified as ‘Hasan’ (a good and accepted tradition). ( Ma’arif As Sunan Vol 1 pg 446) From the above explanations, it is evident that from the time of the Sahabah until today, the overwhelming majority of scholars have always held the verdict that it is not permissible for a woman in menses to recite the Quran. This is the official verdict of the great Imams of Fiqh and Hadith like Imams, Abu Hanifah, Ash Shafi’ee, Ahmad bin Hanbal, Sufyan Ath Thawri, Abdullah bin Mubarak, Ishaaq and many other grand jurist experts from the best of the scholars of Islam throughout the centuries of Islam.
