Radically decluttering and getting out of debt are the two processes that have brought order to our home and allowed time to be with God and seek God with more margin and space. Beautiful song “Make Room” by Jonathan McReynolds talks about the importance of carving out excess and unnecessary to MAKE ROOM for God.

I agree. My family also stopped celebrating Christmas and New Years because they are rooted in lies. Santa does not exist, nor is Christ's birthday December 25 (this is proven in Scripture being that Christ was born outside and placed in manger, a taxing was called which wouldn't take place in dead of winter considering travel, and shepherds were outside keeping watch of sheep at night which isn't possible during the winter time in Jerusalem because of weather)). This is the birthday of the sun God (hence Our Heavenly Father instructing us not to deck trees in reverence of the signs of Heaven in Jeremiah 10). Also, He said that the new year is in the month Abib which is in Spring (March). Even the name of the month January is in honor of the false god janus, and should be the 11th month rather than the 1st.

I have a prayer request, Leland middle school is in need of feminine hygiene products for young ladies the need is great. I'm praying God will meet that need and minsters to the young ladies our future generations. It would be so nice if they could get together individually care packages with prayer cards, gospel tracks etc. that could reach their hearts. If you are a note taker (like myself), this is certainly a note-worthy video. I have included the notes that I took, while listening: I. Getting in the Word of God A. Reading a. Pray before reading to understand, love, to thirst after, and for how to apply His Word B. Loving it C. Applying it II. Establish the Standard of Righteousness A. Creates the expectation of God in which we aim for (does not mean perfection) a. Having zero tolerance for willful sin: explaining why it is a sin and the consequences of sin b. Setting a standard cultivates an atmosphere of uprightness and, in times of falling short, repentance B. Know the Word of God and His standards and expectations for how you should steward your family a. Anyone can be a housekeeper, but it takes a woman who has surrendered to God to become a homemaker III. Bring Order to Chaos A. Examine you home to discover what areas are out of order a. Maybe you need to declutter B. Incorporate necessary systems to aid in structure and order a. Maybe you need to incorporate a system to bring about order: laundry, homeschool, etc. b. Discover the root cause of the problem (the direct cause of the disorder) Ex: the children are not getting to bed on time- why? Are you searching for pajamas or is dinner late, etc. c. Deal with the problems when they first exhibit sign, to avoid it mounting up (blockage) *Note: if you are experiencing a blockage, pray to God that, through His Holy Spirit, that blockage be removed, so that His living water can flow freely through you IV. Be Consistent A. Being consistent in the little things makes a great impact a. Focus on the things you can control: reevaluate and recalibrate to discover areas that can be improved b. Discover areas that can be made easier with regular maintenance throughout the day, and delegate appropriate tasks to children c. Let children know what standards and responsibilities are required of them, daily B. Consistency helps to establish order and brings order to chaos

I have been drawn to dreadlocks for a long time and i have no idea why. I am sort or going through a healing era of my life (cancer) and i will start them, then change my mind because i worry my appearance will not lead others to Christ. I am a white woman who dresses very modestly and pretty plain for the most part. Do you have an opinion on if locs are an appropriate style of hair for a christian woman? I too am having a drawing to make my hair into dreadlocks again. It's not sinful to return our hair to its natural glory. I've had locks before and I've missed them ever since. My locks could easily be wrapped and covered with a simple handkerchief.
