Brother Faiyad, how can I get married when sisters constantly reject me due to my young age? I’m 20 years old and have been mentally ready for marriage since I was 17. By 18, I was already financially capable of supporting a family. Currently, I can comfortably provide for a family with at least five kids. I have no problem marrying someone even 15 years older than me, but it seems that almost every woman in this world wants someone older and doesn't want to compromise on this. I've been rejected multiple times, even by sisters younger than me, because they want someone at least 3-5 years older.I feel frustrated because I’ve been actively searching for a bride since I was 17, and it's actually harder for me than for most other brothers, because I’m on my 3rd year streak of NoFap. On top of that, I live in a European country where Muslims make up only 0.01% of the population. I have never rejected anyone, and I’m not picky at all. I’m okay with my wife being much older than me, I'm open to any ethnicity. But I always get rejected right at the initial stage. Even the matrimonial site you promoted didn’t help. It’s an amazing platform that is 100% halal and filled with traditional sisters, but I’ve been rejected by everyone except one sister, and I couldn’t marry her due to visa issues. The reasons for rejection are always either my age or my appearance, even though I've been told I’m above average in looks.

@FaiyadFit Can you please explain the job part to me? Can women work because she has a goal to do something that pleases Allah in her life and she does all the household chores and contributing to the household? I have a goal that I hope inshallah to reach but I will need to work to get money to reach that goal, and my husband can help (doesn't have to). Is it haram for women to go into an online college, even though it's mixed and she won't talk to the men in class but she has a male teacher but she has to get degrees because without them, no money? I'm a woman, and none of this is normal. Marriage is supposed to be about compromise and a partnership by both partners. He has compromised, too much, and she isn't comprising at all. As a woman, and a Muslim Woman - this woman has terrible selfish behaviors! He is doing his best but she is taking advantage of him! I would never think of being like this with a husband. I am hoping to find a good husband, I will never be like her!! It sounds like it’s time for her to support herself since she is taking all he does for granted - extremely! And allow me to say - being a full time homemaker is more than a full time job! I personally would rather not have to work outside of the home, but have never had that option! If I have to work - then it would be for my medical insurance and medications - but not more if I don’t have to - home needs the focus so I can give my spouse peace and happiness in me and me in him!

This is why people need to learn about their rights and responsibilities within a marriage, and talk about their expectations before getting married. I don’t understand how this even happens. Plus rectify your intentions! Look at the Prophet ﷺ marriages and how they interacted and supported each other. Being a good wife can literally be a means of entering Jannah! However sadly many people marry just to have the party and focus on their own desires.

As much as I do agree, people are still capable of lying nonstop & "cheating" psychologically, manipulate emotionally, etc. Deception & hypocrisy are sadly, very real. And gaining more of its own deceitful "popularity"... Communication helps only so much. I only don't understand why we assume Allah Is Sufficient but not for "important" things. إن الله يكفينا.... ....comes with the full package. In one word, "Islam". When you seek more connection & comfort in Allah, it helps in ALL matters. All of Dunya is temperory - even our physical health is test.... When you KNOW HIS Commands & Rewards, you understand your worth, your inevitable part to play & WHERE exactly the lines are - how much to endure, when to be strict, etc. Live Islam. None strengthens you more than Allah Does. He Is our Salvation.

As a sister i agree with 95% of the stuff you mentioned. I know for a fact that as a woman i am supposed to obey, respect and care for my husband. But there is one thing that bothers me and that is about us women working alongside our husbands. I am raised as an independent woman and i am still unmarried, i find it uncomfortable imagining myself asking my husband for my own personal expenses excluding the household expenses. Like i would like to freely spend on myself instead of asking my husband every time. Now don't get me wrong, i don't mean anything haram, like going to the gym when men are present (Astaghfirullah) or anything else that is outside the islamic boundaries. There are alot of stuff my future husband may find unnecessary but it isn't in our eyes, spending money on ourselves and also helping my family out voluntarily and giving my own zakat. Basically being fully dependent on my husband does not sit well with me and i would love to help lessen his burden financially. For that to happen i will have to work, and interacting with men will be unavoidable then but as long as we stay in our limits and dress modestly and don't interact unless for work reasons, then what is wrong in that? Another point is that nowadays working for a woman has become a necessity, because not all men are trustworthy or righteous like you and just mistreat women so easily, I am saying this because of all the men in my circle of people and i have seen how they treat their wives who are fully dependent on them in every way. Basically being independent is in some cases a way to protect ourselves from unforeseeable events in life like the passing away of family/husband or divorce and they know not to mistreat us women as we demand equal respect in return (May Allah protect us from these events) But this is the sad and harsh reality of life. SO naturally when we both work and share the financial burden, then there is no harm in sharing SOME and not all of the household responsibilities. Now is that a sin? That is what you call a healthy marriage and good partnership in my opinion. BUT everyone thinks differently and these points should be discussed before marriage, so as to avoid issues in future, And by all means it is very clear on how women should treat their husbands, i am speechless because of how that woman has mistreated her husband all those years, may Allah guide her, she should ask for forgiveness from her husband and Allah, it's such a huge sin to disrespect your husband.

Not going to lie, the video angered me in that aspect but your comment cooled my heart alhamdolillah. Every woman, I know, has ended up needing to work to support her husband. It’s just not getting an education before and then needing to work because of financial struggles leads to you working a low paying job and more hours.. I just think saying it’s a red flag, if the woman wants to work a part time job, is so tone deaf and just so unaware of the world. May Allah bless us all inshallah. (Also of course, I agree with his opinion on the 400 Dollars gym membership story lol)
@sem_786
@sem_786 Ай бұрын
@@ramaalrefaai1637 Exactly! Muslim influencers need to be very careful when discussing such topics. To me it seems as if they completely disregard our point of view and speak only for one side. What if a man who is in a happy marriage watches this video and his wife works although within the islamic boundaries, so dressing modestly and not interacting with men outside of work, then he would suddenly see his wife as a red flag and would deem it right to restrict her from working even if she might have valid reasoning behind doing so. Now you may be unintentionally causing issues between happily married couples. So i request these influencers, please address more appropriately, men who have issues with women working, discuss it before marriage and problem solved but it does not apply to all couples who are okay with their wives working. We are in 2024 so please consider that nothing is the same as before so we need to walk with time and not impose the lifestyles of old generations. But besides that the woman in the video was 100% wrong and there's no denying in that.

As a woman, I've never met any woman like this, or who thinks like this. I don't think it's that common among practicing Muslims. But.. Islamically, she's not obligated to contribute financially whatsoever. And husbands are still supposed to pitch in if the workload is really heavy with small kids, if there's no support from family members etc. Like what, you're just going to let her struggle 24-7 so you can feel like a tough guy? Masculinity is not the absence of doing dishes in life... Babysitting is just parenting sorry, and Allah WILL ask you about your involvement with your kids. And how are you going to bond with them if you're not spending time with them? And I don't mean sit on your phone in their proximity. That has nothing to do with roles, it's an issue of the rights of the children upon both of their parents. On top of that I want to mention that taking some of the housework out of your wife's hands will allow her to spend more time on their Islamic education, and maybe catch a moment by herself to read Quran and get her head right a bit. Kids don't need to be extremely rich, they need both of their parents to be involved and also to be kind to each other. So that's not the problem, the problem is her tabarruj, disrespect to him in words and attitude and traveling without him?! Simply haram. Sounds like a narcissist or sociopath tbh, not your average Muslimah.

Divorce should be the last resort, better to start making changes towards the right direction, slowly but surely.. things will get better InshaAllah, but if you don’t try things will only continue to get worse, i think thats just how women are, we have very different minds (men and women) we have to put our foot down and not be too easy going with them n let em do what ever they want just to be kind (trust me) i learned the hard way, Also keep asking Allah to guide you, Salaam

I grew up in a very toxic type of family where my father used to give all his m money to his mother my grandma. if my mother wanted something she had to ask for her permission, but she was cheap. Even during her pregnancies when she was nauseous and had cravings, or any other things like clothes medicine my grandma says endure it. Even I as a child grew up deprived of many things and I think grandma is at fault, no matter how well your husband earns financial independence is a must. Do you even know how much she goes through for not being independent you become disabled (cripple). I dream of becoming a professor and definitely still working after my marriage. I saw my mother being humiliated even for simple things and I don't want the same for me. My aunt(mother-side) is a widow and none of us are financially good to support her yet she is doing everything possible for her and her child's sustenance. Only if she was well educated and knew how to work and earn. You don't even know how hard it is for women, they are basically treated like animals. I'm so afraid of marriage cause never in my surroundings I have seen a good husband and a happy wife.

asalamualaikum brother, as a girl I agree with the points you made to call out the behaviour of the wife in this case. This is just a small reminder of the comment you made on the gym membership because as Muslims, we should always be assuming the best of others before jumping to conclusions. Aside from the $400 spent a month, which is just insane, you said it's embarrassing you have more ghayrah than the husband for allowing his wife to attend the gym and squat in front of other men. As a hijabi girl, I go to the gym but in a women's only section, so I can workout without any non-mahrams present, which could be the case for this sister. Aside from this, I agree this is a tough situation for this brother, but just wanted to give a gentle reminder inshAllah.

I honestly don’t know why men are expected to take care of the house and do housework if he’s literally providing EVERYTHING he’s obliged to? Like what’s the purpose of even marrying then? Why marry someone where you have to work outside the house PLUS having to do MORE work inside the house compared to your Bachelor life? It’s not fair and I fully believe this is dhulm on modern day Muslim men who provide everything they are commanded to. May Allah hold those accountable that have pushed our beloved sisters into this mess instead of staying intact with their fitrah Allah has blessed them with.

I cook, clean, iron, do laundry and do not spend my husband’s money if not needed but he knew what I was like before we got married. I don’t do nails, hair (I’m a hijabi), etc but if I do want to doll myself up I do it at home on a budget for him. The woman in this example doesn't sound like a good person but overall it's positive if a woman can go to a female only gym, because it helps being out of the house sometimes for mental health and mood, health is important and we all know that nobody is disciplined enough to do exercises at home lol. Bonus, she looks good for her husband.
