Ever since the first iPad Air , I’m always upgraded to the news one . I was interested in the mini for the fact of its sizes . I end up buying the 7th GEN mini ,it’s been 3 days and I can honestly say it’s very under rated . It’s actually very good . I just wish the screen can be a little brighter . Besides that no complaints.

The iPads are so useful, I use it for school work but the bigger screens are better for that, although it’s the same size as my laptop and I use both simultaneously 😅

With gift vouchers and a trade in from my mini 4, I paid 129.00 for the 256gig..as the case for the 6 fits the 7, bought a brand new one in burnt orange from eBay for 25.00! Picking mine up from the Apple Store tomorrow. By the way, people are saying they not popular. In spite of the fact they don't come with a plug in the UK, Amazon had sold out of the WiFi only versions for the first couple of days of release!

I disagree with thinner bezels, they’re already so thin on the 6. How am I supposed to hold the thing 😂but the display absolutely needs an upgrade !

Just like the other iPads, it has palm an accidental finger rejection so it knows if you’re holding the screen vs actually tapping controls. But yes the display should have gotten an update

Looks like Apple is saving a Pro Motion display with 120hz, Face ID and thinner bezels until the iPad mini 8. But that’s not coming until 2026 or 2027 probably! The iPad mini 6 will be a HUGE upgrade for my iPad mini 5. But even if I had the mini 6, I’d still upgrade for the future proofing & Apple Intelligence. Plus I’m an artist, so the Apple Pencil Pro is better for me.

My thought is it’s wayyyyyy too expensive for this upgrade, this is almost $550 after taxes. IMO should be $299. 2. This iPad more than most is used outdoors so the nits should have been much brighter. With cellular it’s $700. For $700 it should mirror the 11 inch pro, just smaller

Thank you! Personally the 11” gives you a larger canvas for more in-depth note taking since it doesn’t feel as cramped. However for light note taking and just annotations, I have zero issues with the mini

I keep wondering if the 7 is a minor spec bump because Apple is working on a redesign for the Mini 8. Refreshed screen, smaller bezels, etc. That is my hope. I mean even Apple admits you really can’t spot the difference between the 6 & 7….so they added iPad Mini to the back to be a differentiator. 😂

Apple has said before they're not going to do promotion lite ie 90hz. You say 90hz like it's cheaper or something. It would require an entirely new display just like a 120hz.

Yes I agree with you, the front display design is definitely still old, I'm going to wait the iPad mini out until they could at least reduce the display bezels, I was really expecting to have the bezels slimmed down, but seems Apple failed and still didn't want to do that to the design, so unfortunately and sadly, that is the reason I won't get the iPad mini yet. I have no issues with the performance, but my gut feeling is telling me the sales for these iPad mini will not do so well (just like the iPhone 16 Pro Max right now)

When I compare to my iPhone 16 Pro Max and iPad Pro, it does feel slower. But for just casual tasks (that the mini is meant for to begin with) it’s unnoticeable
