From the colonial era, the major legacy Britain left to India namely a functioning democracy (at least in form) with all its bureaucratic inefficiency since independence has now been plundered by BJP government by its authoritarian rule in just 6 years in the name of Nationalism and Hindutva just for power and money. misgovernance of BJP-rule with its misguided policy has reached such an absurdity that the citizen of India by birth is now being asked to prove its citizenship which has never happened in any democratic country before. The very basic freedom in life to live are those rights to which all human beings are entitled from birth. When this right to live is questioned by the current government, the country and its people are dragged into chaos and turmoil.
