Actually almost all of these deadly bathroom accidents happen by an main's extension cord being pulled or falling into the bathtub.

1:11 so one with Apple logo was fake, yeah? The people demand an addendum to identify fake chargers, SIR.

I suggest you get well acquainted with the following features in DSOs: 1. auto-scale button - it tries to optimise scale, offset and trigger selection, so that you can get a waveform displayed on the screen as quickly as possible; 2. AC coupling - essential if you want to measure signals that are AC in nature and don't necessarily care for its DC component (most of the time you are using an oscilloscope, really). Cheers!

very good points - I'm still wondering though will I get no loss if I switch to AC coupling? I will of course no longer see the output voltage change over current ... but will I get the same noise figure? I always somehow feared I wouldn't and it is kind of cute to see the wave bob up and down ... one more measurement ... I'm honestly torn ... and that scale knob could've had some basic acceleration on it :(

It appears to have poor snubber networks as well as no X1 cap for noise suppression. Also no inductive to filter the high frequencies out if the output stage. Those cake you removed are doing everything! They're dealing with the high frequency switching directly from the diode! Very bad design !! Excellent video by the way!

ok so i'm at 1:10 and i think the bottom one is the original since the CE marking is drawn in the correct way where if you close the internal circle of the "C" it should touch the external one of the "E".

Tx for your measurements and taking the charger apart. That SMD cap across (what should be) separation is terrible. If those smd caps fail, they usually fail shorting. There are lots of chargers that are even worse (although there are no shades of death). See DiodeGoneWild for some comprehensive video’s on very dodgy chargers.

Sir I watched your video last few months about the cd player. Just want to ask, what is posible damage with a cd player if the lens does not have a light and the spindel motor is not working? Is there any chance to fix it?
@bradleysummerfield3 жыл бұрын
if you change your chanel from DC to AC couple on the scope you will not have to scroll for days
@Darieee3 жыл бұрын
hmmm, true .. but will that still give any measurement on offset?
@bradleysummerfield3 жыл бұрын
It allows you measure the frequency peak to peak of the ripple on the DC voltage
@bradleysummerfield3 жыл бұрын
So you use both to help you measure
@Darieee3 жыл бұрын
yeah - I'll try using that from now on - thanks! although, some PSUs have some longer-time-base instability outside ripple .. so .. that stupid scrolling is not completely out of the question ☹️

I was having same problem as you I'm am a amateur so this the best I know
