kinda miss your old style painting the greyscale one is definitely unique to you
@KHRMemories8 жыл бұрын
To be honest, I don't like only using the greyscale coloring now since I feel like I lose a lot of details in the shading. But, I still use it when I play with lighting, like in my next video :P
@nf76948 жыл бұрын
I learnt the grayscale painting style from you and I love it. I used to do a lot of pencil/pen art. So it was all strictly black and white. I was quite used to that. When I started drawing digitally, I wanted to do coloured drawings. It was so hard to get the colours right, I eventually gave up and went back to B&W. Then I saw your grayscale colouring tutorial and now I'm able to colour everything quite easily! I have to thank you for that.

How do you make your backgrounds look blurry? BTW I love your drawings and your colouring!!!

Would you explain a little bit about the difference between the gray scale method and your current method? I saw you mentioned that there is a lose of details in shadings. I know this is a false comparison, but there was one about Akatsuki no Yona, and apparently that is the one I see the most detailed shadings in your following art work (correct me if I am wrong, since I haven't watched all of your videos.). It indeed took you a long time, but I think the gray scale works just fine if you are able to invest a bunch of time in it, right?
@KHRMemories8 жыл бұрын
Actually, I've used a mix of grayscale and "normal coloring" in that Akatsuki no Yona drawing :p. What I mean is that when I do all of the detailed shading in greyscale and then just add the colors with a lumi&shade layer, a bunch of the tiny details that I did put effort into are lost (like the clothes folds, hair strands, patterns if there are any, ...). They may seem not important but I think these small details bring more depth to the coloring! But, like you said, if I were to put a lot more time, maybe I'd be able to keep these details with the greyscale technique, but why should I do that when I can do it faster with another method :p Also, another thing is that it's quite hard to have complete control over the colors with the greyscale coloring, at least you can adjust the colors when using the "normal coloring" after the greyscale. Sorry for the long reply!

@jeantormes89188 жыл бұрын
i think it would be better if you would used thinner lines, anime characters have thin lines cuz they dont want to add more work (pen pressure)
@KHRMemories8 жыл бұрын
Yea I noticed it too, but I didn't want to redo everything haha. Also, there are anime with thicker lines too like AoT...right? ouo"
