Hi Mary. Every morning lately, is the No Makeup Makeup look. I slap on my skincare, sunscreen, skin tint, a bit of Charlotte Tilbury's Pillowtalk cream shadow, mascara, a bit of blush, and a gloss. We have to go to Spearfish, SD next weekend to get hubby's P/U as we took it there last weekend so they could do a full diagnostic on it. Good news "only" about $1,500 repair bill! But it's also close to his birthday too so maybe a stay in Deadwood & a nice dinner at one of the steak houses there! I really like the Derma-E Sun Protection Mineral Powder too as it's easy to put on with the brush it comes with & is also a great way to reapply after makeup is all on w/o messing up my blush etc...

Hey Mary;). Loved seeing your no makeup look. Mine is similar. A little concealer, little blush, mascara, lip gloss. Out the door!!!!lol. Just so I dont look totally washed out. I actually like wearing zero makeup for a day, THEn doing full glam. Lol. I will forever love makeup and am so happy to hear you talk about it too. High end, drugstore, anything. The left side is worse for me with sun damage too. I suppose from driving. Good points made about no makeup being different for all and being dependant on what you need to feel/look pulled together. Your look turned out great.

Definitely from driving. I don't see the difference on my face, but my left forearm has a lot more sunspots than my right arm. I do wear sunscreen, but as my dermatologist reminds me, it doesn't block 100% of the sun.

My current no makeup is tinted sunscreen, NARS liquid blush, Merit eyeshadow in a brown color, Benefit eyebrow (I forget the name) color, Lancôme (whichever one is open) mascara, some sort of lip balm NARS is in my bag right now and maybe Charlotte Tilbury pressed powder if it’s hot or humid out. Just enough to keep me from looking dead. You know pasty white skin, washed out graying hair, no eyelashes, sort of look like an albino rabbit….lol. Hope all is well in your neck of the woods.

I bought the Clarins Eye Lift a few weeks ago and I absolutely love it. I don't use sunscreen on my face either unless I am in the direct sun for more than a half an hour like when we go to the ocean.

From what I've read, sun damage can start literally the minute you step outside. We all need to use sunscreen every day to prevent skin cancer, not just wrinkles. Your choice not to, of course. And the Clarins Eye Lift is an awfully expensive product - $92 for .5 OZ!!! - and it has alcohol, as in rubbing alcohol, and fragrance in it. Not good ingredients in a product to be used around the eyes. Also, the first 4 ingredients, which are most of the product, are water, glycerin, caprylic triglyceride, and propanendiol. These are ingredients that are common to many moisturizers, including less expensive ones. There's nothing in the product to justify the extremely high price. Most eye creams are a ripoff. They're usually the brand's moisturizer packaged in a smaller container and marked way, way up. You can use your regular moisturizer around your eyes unless the package says otherwise. And layer a bit of petroleum jelly over it if you need more moisture.

@@20thcenturyrelic Wow quite the opinion you have here! That's OK, you are entitled I suppose. I love Clarins products. Formulated in Paris over 70 years ago, tried and true! As for the sun...I prefer Vitamin D from the sun. I stopped sun bathing when I was 38-40 years old but I still go out in the sun to work in the yard and kayak. I think that the world has gone mad to be honest! Yes, people that are chronically in the sun every day, it will damage the skin but not during the summer months to get out and get the healing properties from the sun. This is my opinon soooo.....as a person ages, they get all kinds of skin issues regardless. Find me a person that's in their 60's that doesn't have something on their body that might look objectionable.

@@lightfragmentsauracle According to my dermatologist, we get enough sun to make Vitamin D even when wearing sunscreen. Because sunscreen isn't a 100% block. With respect to sun damage, you can make your own choice. However, assuming you work outside the home, you might want to keep in mind that at some point, you'll be competing with younger people for jobs. That was one of my concerns with respect to minimizing sun damage.

Thanks for the video, Mary! It's helpful to me to see what other people's no makeup makeup look is like. And wow, red is your color! My no or minimum makeup look is concealer under my eyes and on my nose, basic pale pink blush because I'm very pale, a wax pencil on my brows and some kind of brow color, Painterly on my lids, mascara, and basic pink lipstick. If I have time, and I care, I'll put a neutral beige shade on my lids and quickly use an eyeliner pencil. The brow product I'm currently using is Maybelline Tattoo Studio Brow Styling Gel. But it does take a little work to get it like I want it to look, so sometimes I just use a brow pencil. I do love Painterly for covering up the discoloration on my lids! I do use sunscreen every day even if I don't think I'll be going outside. It's just a habit after I apply my moisturizer. That way I'm ready for whatever! Bring on the zombie apocalypse!
