I always took crimbo to be a combination of both christmas and boxing day, thinking it was a contracted word, similar to what is done in Japanese (e.g. amefuto = American Football)

Closest accurate translation gets a Point! (Up to 5 Points) Loser must drink from a cup filled with their least favorite liquid (ie. Trevor and Pickle Juice).

From Australia, in the same vain as the last set we throw around the names Nigel-no friends, negative Nancy, & Debbie downer. Wonder if you could get someone to throw some traditional Aus slang your way because some of it is just ridiculous!! Or just slang from around the world like what do German words mean or Spanish phrases translate too, or he’ll try and decipher some Latin quotes or match a scientific name to an animal or plant. The word guessing games you do are great because it really gives you guys a chance to bounce off each other, keep up the great work as always!!! ❤️

Regional variation strikes again! I'm from the Midlands and got #5 right for the wrong reason - never heard of that version of Billy Bollocks, but presumed it was a variation of Billy Big Bollocks, which is someone incredibly cocky. Side-note: I never realised 'Crimbo' was an exclusively British thing!

Funnily enough, the first question should have been voided. Brimmer is a slang term in the UK and Ireland too. Meaning two things: A full or overflowing cup/glass, especially of beer (from atleast the 1600s) and a wide brimmed hat, such as in the song 'Broad Black Brimmer' (from atleast the 1900s). Also, I've never heard 'Billy Bollocks' used to mean naked, it's always meant someone who thinks they're tough, big or better than others. I.E what Americans might call 'Billy Badass' or someone that acts like their 'shit don't smell'.

I never comment on videos but I wanted to request more of these! As a Brit I've been thoroughly enjoying Jeremy and Trevor's reactions to slang we use use on a daily basis! And the whole Ready Set Show concept has been one of the best new series on KZbin and I watch religiously! Keep up the great work guys

As an Aussie, this is funny cos some of the slang is the same, but others are different, for example sandwich is Sanga, Christmas is Chrissy. But Prang and Brolly we use.
