Well done! I've been interested in this stove for a long time, but never quite saw how it worked, and it was expensive and obscure enough when it came out. Was it Iwatani brand originally? They're the best. Anyway I already have a dozen or two portable stoves and just never got around to it. It's just now that I can finally see the whole picture. It IS a little busy but very clever, just the thing for a gadget-oriented person who... went camping once. I do love having something like this in the car! There have been a few times in life when a long drive becomes tiring and miserable and cold, and it's really a treat to be able to pull out a little stove and make some coffee, have a snack, enjoy the roadside rest area for awhile. I didn't know there was a knock-off version of this until just now. Anyway, I really enjoyed watching this, very clear close-up images and a clear explanation. Ah, the writing on the manual is Chinese. I buy stuff like this that's Japanese, it might have ten pages of complex instructions and warnings, that you think you really SHOULD read but you can't!

Yes! There are already several such things, but all the ones I have sit on top of the can, so it's very tall and tippy! Not at all what you want in an outdoor situation. There are a number of stoves that let the tank sit sideways like this, but they are big puzzles, or unreliable, or use that tiny hose and the tank is sitting separately. I don't know if I trust that little hose! The pressure and flow of Butane here is very low, but it seems like a pyro accident waiting to happen. I think they got it this time! I swear, some of these stoves look like some kind of Lunar Module, you're really DEPLOYING it! Legs unwind and then unfold, you have to ease the hose out of the thing... all very clever but also fumbly and breakable. My first portable stove was a Kangaroo Kitchen actually. It was like a little suitcase! But it was simple and rugged, I don't know it you could break it if you wanted to. It used the big steel bottle of PROPANE, it wasn't like a toy. Anyway, this is fun, and often I just need one or two cups of boiling water.
