Why this video hasn’t got five million views are beyond my understanding. Brilliantly done! I understand it is extremely hard to replicate the part where solid stone starts to crystallize and then become amethyst crystals, but I thought the white was too much and too wide. I would have tried to use finely crushed clear glass just outside the rim of “amethyst” to get that white crystalline feeling, and use a tidbit of brown in the grey. However, it was brilliantly done, it could look real if you weren’t a hobby geologist or stone healer and it is for certain a very exclusive statement piece that would adorn any garden or home. Question: could the glass pieces be spread directly on the shape instead of on the plastic sheet and cured there? At least in the flat areas?

Hi! Thank you! Yes we agree on the boarder of the Matrix however it isn’t as bright in the studio as it is in the photo and the Uv resins yellow over time so it ends up with a brown purple Citrine look. I use crushed German glass glitter on my custom Commission pieces , some people don’t do well with products like that but yes you are correct it does make it look even more beautiful. Yep they fool some but not all. However you will get a kick out of this. I took one to a festival that had gem and rock dealers plus fortunetellers etc.and they all were surprised to find out it was fake. It was only when they came up to it and studied it . The reason I developed them and my glass was for weddings and Gardens. To answer your question! Yes you can do several methods. I really like using two part resin that is Very stable and won’t yellow Like the UV resin. Creating the crystal structures on plastic just give you the flexibility to make a head of time, create stacking layers etc. but it is not Imperative. Just created the video to share. I wish it got more views but it is what it is. I creating a new video for a company and in the studio making a red geode sculpture. Where do you find jazzy glass? Is it just chunky colored glass??

No I am the creator of Jazzy Glass and these are my projects made with it. Jazzy Glass is treated with a hard color coating that is made for indoors or out and solvent resistant. So alcohol inks etc. will not dissolve the colors. Over 50 colors plus custom.
