WTF. How do they get away with this crap? I just realized my son has a ton of fake Pokemon cards. I didn't even realize it until I decided to read them, googled, and found this. I just thought that $3 was the price for Pokemon packs.

If you are going to (Let's say) a Pokemon TGC Competition, they have to check your deck. Any fakes will get you either disqualified or something.

i had a zapdos and a leafeon like that... on zapdos if you know damage counters it said ''remove 2 damage cpunters and on leafeon it had a comma, then a Capital the font was COMPLETELY DIFFERENT than normal cards

The reason the font is different is because the people who made the cards don't want to get sued. As long as the card has a different spelling they can't really get nailed.

Help!! I remember as a kid buying a 20$ box of pokemon cards at Target, but the box didn't look like any of the other boxed sets. It came with a CD, a deck, and a couple boosters. That I remember. I dont know if what I bought was fake because it was from Target or what but I was looking through my cards and everything looked ok except for 4 "first edition" cards with shadows and 5 in different languages with different names. I cant remember where I got them but im worried all my cards are fake

I got some good deals on pokemon cards, but that is from the orginal set back in the 90s. Birthday Pikachu Black star promo, Ancient Mew, Blastoise, and Venasaur. Plus, I just bought an unopened japanese jungle pack from 1996. I know nothing about this new set of pokemon. I didn't even realize kids were still collecting them until recently! Anyway, can you help me figure out if mine are fake?

Actually, I think those are real, but just the ones that went through the quality check, and failed. So they package them up and sell them for a cheeper price... Oh, and nice one with flashing the irate gamer in there. That made me literaly laugh out loud.

I have alot of pokemon cards, and the backs are perfectly centered, but the e's have a different font like those do. There aren't spaces, just the different font. I got 90% o my 1336 pokemon cards from the store, but the other 10% were from yard sales. I've never bought ccards from the internet. But how do I know if it is a misprint from the pokemon company, or a fake card?

It's possible they alter the cards to purposely have errors so it doesn't exactly break copyright laws. Or they could just be careless people that don't speak English as their first language, or even reject prints. I know if I forged cards I'd be as precise as possible and triple check everything.

Most of the fake booster packs with a legendary pokemon on the pakaging come with that card, thats when you can tell it's a definite fake. Nice sub message too xP

Well, it's obvious why they copy "good" things (if you would call Pokémon cards "good" is a matter of opinion) to make money. There is also a... well perhaps not a good explanation, but still an explanation for why there are all these typos. Copyright. If they mispell stuff on purpose, it's easier to get away with. Also, if that wouldn't be the case, they sell the cards riddiculously cheap, so they don't waste any time and money on spellchecking. Their business is all about being fast as hell.

Anyone who makes fake cards must have looked up the tell tale signs of a fake so they could avoid it. To put that much work into a card then to just not proof read is rather odd to me. Seems like that would be the easy part.

This was originally on his website as a bonus video. As for the IrateGamer Picture: Its a joke about Ripping off ones idea and making money from it. Irate is referenced as hes typically called an Angry Video Game Nerd rip-off. I personally didnt hold anything against him and gave him a chance; but his reviews are awful. Ironically this ties in with this video; Not only a rip-off, but a badly done one at that.

My sister got ripped off on ebay and was sent fake pokemon cards. They are made out of the cheapest paper, the printing is blurry, the borders are way off. Plus it looks like someone just made a photocopy of the original and printed it on crappy paper.

I have thousands of cards.These couldn't be more obvious about it being fake, and it's not a challenge to pick the fake and real ones out.Sme I'm a poke hold, I know every color of what it's supposed to be, and down to the shading, I can prove them wrong.This is easy :D
