Stellar insight. This video came across my feed, glad I clicked b/c it is so grounding when I hear other people who challenge the norms and question why they behave certain ways. I got sick of fake relationships and fake gestures, and that started with me feeling dissatisfied in myself when I noticed myself being fake in relationships. Once I saw it in me, I could no longer tolerate it from others. Before I realized the fakeness, I assumed the behavior was acceptable because “it’s family” or “it’s the right thing to do”. But a lot of what we do is not genuine, and we are not usually comfortable expressing our authentic selves/emotions to others. Takes time to cultivate authentic relationships, but surely it’ll be more fulfilling and longlasting.
