FAKE Sennheiser HD 206 Headphones!

I got totally scammed! Bought fake Sennheiser HD 206 headphones from eBay!

Sorry that happened to you! I LOVE the Sennheiser HD 206 headphones -- I've probably bought 7 or 8 pairs in the last 10 years. They've all had excellent, deep bass and clear sound quality; the cord eventually fails after tons of use though. Unfortunately, Sennheiser discontinued this product, so I could no longer "buy it again" on Amazon once my last pair died. I searched for it on eBay... was skeptical but bought a pair. It was a joke 😂; horrible sound quality, no bass whatsoever. Sounded like a "watery fart in a tin can." I just threw it away and didn't bother returning it. Weeks later, I saw that Amazon had the 206 headphones available. Hopeful, I bought it again; alas, it had the exact same issues as the eBay fake. 😬It appears it was a knockoff as well. I returned it to Amazon today! Out of curiosity, I weighed my genuine (but no-longer-functioning) 206 headphones - they're 18 grams heavier than the fake pair that I got off eBay. Also, if you feel the part where the sound comes out, the genuine ones have like a distinct texture underneath. The fake ones don't have this texture - it's flat. I didn't even think to check the box for authentication. With so many fake reviews, it's difficult to figure out which products are high quality. I also hate change and hate to find a different product. "When it ain't broken, don't fix it." I guess I'll try the Sennheiser HD 280...wish me luck.

Same for me, received fakes from ebay and amazon, so went for HD280 pro

Damn. I think I got some too. No sticker on the box and they sound really dull. I had some (real ones) before and thought they were great for the price but they got sat on hehe

Ebay seems to be full of fakes, easy to spot the differences when you compare them to your older pairs 😂. The logo will be thicker and the finish on the headband will be cheap on a fake. The jack adapter will be different as well.

Just got the same fakes from Amazon. Knew straight away they were fake.

Actually, there is a lot a afiliates selling that fake products, they make videos saying is sounds very good, but thet are making money with selling. And people are beliving they're reviews. I payed R$90 for the hearphones, and its worst than a R$20 with no brand that I already have. I glad someone like you made a video talking the real thing. But its sad that so fell people talking about that.

I bought one of this from aliexpress. The sound is not so low but it is weird, not good. I think it is fake to, and the market ir full of then.
