I agree with everything that you have pointed out. The part behind the trigger is the air spreader valve, which has a piston and spring assembly inside. What you pay for in the genuine item is the years of R & D bwhind the brand and the assurance that your tool will not let you down. As you well know, there is no quality assurance over in China, agreed that the copies are getting better, The Italco, is the copy of the Sata 5000, and other models of the Devilbiss Pro lite. Star copy the Devilbiss as well as the Iwata W400 Classic. It goes without saying, that all my guns are not copies and even in 5 years time, they will be going strong and not falling to pieces! The litmus test has to be, the availability of spare parts for the fakes. No person who is a professional or a collector or hobbyist would buy a fake. Even if push comes to shove and I have to puff a bit of fade out thinner on a pillar blend area, the Iwata LPH 80 will come out and do its job and not a £15 Bergen, or Fast Mover or Duren or US PRO!!! The weight, feel of the trigger and atomzation is totally different in the real product, regardless whether it is a Sata, Devilbiss ot Iwata just to name a few. Merry xmas and stay safe my friend.

I've used real and fake, tbh there's very little between them now, especially the DV1 clones. Okay there might be one or two hickups in certain situations that you might not get with the real thing, but for most people they'll never even notice it! And lets be honest here, these clones are no real threat to the major brands. The type of person who goes on eBay or Amazon etc looking for a cheap deal on an expensive gun, was never going to pay top whack for the real deal anyway! And even if they are going to spend a fair amount on a gun, then really they should do their homework first before paying any money, and its not just sprayguns, this applies to almost any expensive item you buy. You really can't do anything to prevent stupid people doing stupid things unfortunately!

Hi John, to a degree your right, some people just won't pay the sort of money the real thing is, what you get with a fake is a cheap good gun on the face of it, but, there is more too it than that, the fakes really aren't made as well, there are some parts that start to rust or corrode very early in there life, the seals aren't particularly good either. For me the most noticeable thing in the Pro Lite clones is the performance, the cap is something between a TE20 and a HV30 so trying to be a jack of all trades, it just lacks the refinement of say the T110 when it comes to fine atomisation although the Chinese cap is faster simply because it flows more air, i agree, most people won't notice this especially if it's there only spray gun. I've never used a DV1 fake, part of me wants to get one to see what the difference is, if any, and what cap the fake replicates, i know there are two versions, one is more exacting than the other, thanks for taking the time to comment, cheers 👍

@@peteshobbies5383 Not had any corrosion issues yet, maybe it depends on what chemicals they come into contact with. However one thing I've noticed is that there seems to be various manufacturers making these clones. Some of these are particularly bad, especially when it comes to the precision of the air caps, yes I know the sizing is more like a 1.4 GP tip, but it's not just that, some are very roughly made with burrs still from machining, and even the odd one which is obviously machined on the skew! However others are considerably better quality and more precise, and with these I've found no issues with atomisation, fan pattern has been perfect and the droplets have come out in an extremely fine and even fashion. You really couldn't distinguish it from top brand guns in that regard. The only seal I've encountered issues with has been the baffle plate seal, but then I it's no big deal to just lightly machine the body so it will accept the OEM one, or just buy a load of the Chinese ones for peanuts if you kept having trouble, it's a very minor issue given the amount you pay for the gun. I can recommend the DV1 clone, they're pretty damn close to the original, and a country mile ahead of the GTi pro lite at applying clear coats. Not had mine very long but no issues at all so far.

I would certainly agree the engineering quality varies greatly with many of these copies, i have seen and used 3 different pro lite ones and they were all very much the same give or take, I'm still on the fence re the DV1 clone, part of me wants to try one part thinks it a bad idea, which side wins remains to be seen, cheers 👍

Nice video, but is already outdated , the new chinese ones are more identical than ever, even roundness and everithink, they spray the same as the original, exactly the same te20

Hi , haven't seen any that are more rounded on the grip, as far as spraying goes they spray ok however they tips are not as good and Ive found the spray pattern isn't quite as good as the real thing

@@JHari-qj4lv , they are not the same as the original, i did a video on the fake end caps, the fakes even though they were branded as different caps, TE20 and T110 they were exactly the same and not the same as the original caps, the feed horns where longer and the hole diameter inside the horns was not the size of the original caps, the centre holes were also different, if you buy a Chinese gun then it will spray well, it doesn't imo spray as well as the original but then it much cheaper, you pays your money and you takes your choice as the old saying goes

Don't think it's that much, more like 220 grams, I'm guessing it the same weight as the original Gti Pro but I've not got one so can't check

Yes, this one does but many do not, some are unbranded but the difference is the same, the real give away is the none curved handle which people should be able to spot if they study photos of something they will purchase

@@89Mirageman , Yes, That's where i got mine from, they are really very good for the money, don't know if you're seen my video of the fake caps but if you have you'll see there is no difference between the caps offered by Chinese sellers, they are somewhere between a TE20 and a HV30 but certainly nearer the 20 than the 30, I would guess a HV25 but i can't say for sure as i don't have one to compare

@@peteshobbies5383 hello Friend, mine is identical to a te20, i already measure both, the cap is the same, and sprays the same, i got it november 19, actually bought 2, they spray exactly the same as the original tekna te20 , they even make the same noise than the original te20, and u right last year the cap was a litle off .. cheeers
