Don't you worry about smashing it, the guys stating it was a genuine one are wrong. On a real le locle the second hand will stop when you pull the crown out to adjust the time. On this one it didn't. That screams fake to me

I bought one from a local seller who deals in watches as a hobby. It came in a proper looking box with all the booklets, etc but was an obvious fake to me when laid eyes on the poorly painted and stenciled dial. The "engraving" on the clasp was just an acid etch and the markings on the back were crudely etched as well. The look and the feel of the band was loose and cheap. Also, it lacked the appropriate markings, finish etc on the movement. To the untrained eye, it might pass. The seller was convinced it was authentic but took it back and has refunded me my $340. Pirate scum. Keelhaul them.

Thanks for sharing your experience I wanted one of these watches for awhile now but after looking at your video and examining ebay sellers feedback even for new watches the market seems rife with fakes. Almost bought one, but now I will get one over the counter in a local jeweller I guess the prices on ebay are too good to be true. I hope you got an authentic one since. Thanks very much.

i was about to say what did you expect for 170 pounds? when actual price is more than double. i own a tissot 1853 seastar automatic. cost me more than us $1000 at the dealer and not ebay so i hope its real. even if not real I'll just drive to the dealer. dont have to play ebay mailing game.

i recently won an auction on a Tissot M160/260 "as new" watch (60+10€ shipp.), now i'm afraid it could be a fake, even if the seller says that is 100% original and has 100% positive feedback..it seems too cheap and too good to be real, honestly. 3 positions of the crown includes the starting position meaning you can only pull it out an additional 2 stops. Fully in is winding, midway is date set and out is time set. It seems you pulled it hard beyond this point and damaged the stem / mechanism. To be honest I think you may have smashed a legit but poss grey market watch.

Julius Downes I own this particular watch myself, and I don’t buy ANY of my watches from the internet. But anyways, I can 100% guarantee this is a complete fake. Numbers and hands should be chrome, aside from the second hand which glows in the dark. Even the detail on the back casing is shockingly bad! There’s no way this is a genuine tissot

That was not a fake tissot haha. Tissot made silver rotors in 2012, I have bought one with silver rotor and black dial from a Tissot store in my country and also have one with gold rotor and white dial. The curious thing is that only 2012 le locles have it so it is hard to find them in catalogs and manuals. I can see that the movement is an ETA2834 so it is correct. Why would someone put an expensive movement on a fake watch?! haha. I think the seller get confused and accept what you said and you broke a good watch

That was a real Tissot. Tissot also tends to post pics of their engraved line and sell stamped many times. They also are not consistent with parts they used and interchange parts like hands, inlays, and the dials many times are a plastic. I feel like he ruined a good watch because he wasn’t happy with the quality

Tissot did make some watches with a silver self winding blade and 3 positions on the crown includes the starting position for winding, 1st position for date and 2nd position for date... Based on the information you talked about, it is nowhere near enough to determine this a fake watch

I had a tissot lelocle at one time, sold it. I dont see the point of entry level swiss made watches, I rather buy a ETA and case it myself with a plain dial. I think you should have sent it back for a refund. Its odd, if you are rich enough to break this watch instead of sending it back, why are you buying tissot?

The Le Locle with that case back was introduced in 2012 with a gold/brass toned oscillating weight(rotor) this one as you can clearly see is a blank stainless steel rotor thus a fake.
