I bought Viscaria blade in Feb 2020 directly from Butterfly Europe. There is an additional security. Backside of the handle (opposite to Viscaria name) there is small round hologram which the logos and 'Butterby' written.

I know that, and the hologram can be fake too. Unfortunately, the only way is to check the blade composition by yourself, or check the serial number with Butterfly.

I still have my old Butterfly Exalter blade with Sriver rubbers, both black and red and the old butterfly logo. I bought it back in 1999 from Paddle Palace and they assambled for my... A couple weeks ago I bought a Primorac with Nittaku Fastarc G-1 black and Butterly Rozena red, those are amazing rubbers and for me, which I'm an occassional player but real TT fan, they are more than perfect... Back in the 70's I used to play in the YMCA Mexico... One more thing, I believe that if you are not professional, why worry if your racket is orginal or not, finally who cares, maybe a pro would notice an important different but I would certainly not, and also don't care. Thanks Couch for sharing your experience!!

I see in this video that there is "Butterfly" word within the silver tag but you also showed and mentioned in this video (refer to the handle and logo) that a silver tag without the word "Butterfly" (as can be seen) on the tag is also a genuine one. Please let me know, which one is the genuine one. With the word "Butterfly"or without the word. Thank you.

Only necessary for Stiga blade. Stiga blades can be easily damaged every time you rip off the rubber. Butterfly and other Japanese brands you don’t have to worry about it at all.

Hi Coach EmRatThic! Isn’t the holographic logo on the handle already enough to check the authenticity of butterfly blades? I think butterfly put the hologram for that purpose. Unless, there are already blades with fake holographic logos.

Fake or Real .....The Real bl;ade does not guarantee superior playing characteristics...Playing characteristics are very personal for instance I like the lin yun yu super ZLC fake over the original because that is a bit to bounce for me and the price for the fake sounds like music in my ears ..... 350 € for a original lin yun yu super zlc that are louis vutton prices for some veneer , fiber and glue

dude, sorry, but WHAT is the difference ? in play ? who gives the shit about cosmetics ? or about how much margin butterfly make on original stuff (IMHO the margin is at least 80%). can you demonstrate WHAT is the difference between $35 fake stuff and 350 original in real game ? if 35 still is a very good tool for playing (i really think it could, pretty much the SAME materials), then it's an excellent deal, if it's blatant that it's worse than any original beginner's $35 butterfly, then i'd say - ok, yes, where's a difference

Yes its An M Model appears to be Fake but plays Good .... lol . I used a real one for a week so i have some reference . long time players at my gym say its real .... but i dont think so but i like how it Plays ....... I'm in the process of having a SuperViscaria built ..... Custom Made

What might be interesting is to give some pro players a $25 cheapie and pit them against casual players armed with the highest quality ones, and see just how much difference there is. Is there as much effect as there would be with high end bicycles vs. a value priced Wal-Mart discount bike?
