I returned both balls. I returned the fake for obvious reasons. I returned the authentic one because adidas sent it compressed and it had fold marks which effects its value. I have the ball again but only for showpiece. There’s other videos showing the performance of the ball.

Some difficulty in seeing the subtle differences you point out. What is important also is the texture/feel & manufacturing "pattern" impregnated in the ball surface. The texture is difficult if you don't have 2 or more balls with the genuine to compare but the genuine ball they say is softer quality but yet firm. The genuine pattern should be a "Diamonds" with indentations for a better flight while the fake is something other than! All observations taken collectively should almost certainly allow you a to detect a fake.

Well, its slightly less colorful, but theyre made by the same exact people in china in fact im almost positive that ball IS real and was printed with low toner in the ink… if you played with them for a month i bet you couldnt even tell them apart, but hey youre gonna put it on a shelf anyways so why would you even care if its ‘authentic’ aka better color.

A soccer ball is a soccer ball. I like the cheaper ones because they tend to be softer and when they come apart you're not upset because it was cheap. I go to Walmart and buy $12 soccer balls and they hit just as good as a $40 ball.
