How to spot fake Dior Sauvage Elixir perfume
The smell of the fake perfume differs a lot from the original one, it resembles normal dior sauvage, edt, edp, perfume.
The original Dior Sauvage Elixir perfume costs 140 euros, the fake has a price between 40 - 70 euros.
The boxes are practically identical, you can't figure out which is the original or the fake perfume.
The inside of the original box differs from the fake box by
- The top sponge that holds the glass lid does not exist in the fake one
- The bottom sponge is missing from the fake one.
The weight of the original bottle differs from the fake one .... see in the video
The original glass has a smaller SAUVAGE text than the fake one, which has a larger appearance.
The fake cap of the Dior Sauvage Elixir perfume is bigger than the original one and weighs more.
The original push button is smaller than the fake one, also the company logo is located on the push button, the fake one has imperfections and is bigger than the original one .... see in the video.
The information on the bottom of the bottle written round on the fake perfume is located closer to the outside, compared to the original one that presents this information to the inside.
The serial number on the bottom of the Dior Sauvage Elixir perfume bottle must be engraved on the edge, it must be identical to the serial number engraved on the bottom of the box, if it is not present, engraved, then you are faced with a fake perfume.

You are doing a great service. So the big tell for me was the inside top, the no cushion, and the base bottom being able to open that fold. I unfortunately do not have a digital scale, but holy Christ these fakes are getting better and better. I have like two questions if you have time. You might get these a lot, but where do you find the fakes? And do they get reported or best way to avoid these. I mean these could get right into a Macy's or Sephora and pass 99.9% and no one ever know. People would be arguing their ass off representing the fake. Haha. Thank you.

@@FakeCip My bottle is exactly the same as the real one in the video, however, the magnetic cap is slightly tilted so that the CD is not exactly centered. The box and the bottle batch code match (the box one even has 2 extra characters that give the same result on sites, something I have not seen before, a 6 digit bar code from Dior). The atomizer is good and the juice smells pretty much the same as the one from the store (although I cannot tell if it lasts as long, definitely stays for some hours). You think I should ask for a refund, or is it possible that just the cap magnets have not been mounted properly?

hey i got a sauvage elixir bottle and it says tester on the back and the CD on the cap doesnt line up with the sauvage text on the front but the batch code on it its engraved i tried to scratch it and it doesnt come off and the text aint shiny its more matte, it still smells exactly like the original one and it lasts exactly the same too but idk if its a real tester or not

testers are legally not for sale.... over 95% of the testers sold online are fakes... but if the serial number is engraved and you hit something sharp and it doesn't work... it's not ok, it's an original perfume.

the serial number on the bottom of the ENGRAVED bottle... must be identical to the serial number on the bottom of the box.... if this safety element does not exist... then you are surely dealing with a fake.... don't forget the serial number on the bottom of the bottle must be engraved not with paint... take something sharp and scratch... if the paint disappears then it's a fake... if it remains it means it's engraved and it's original

They don't have the font exactly right, if you look closely at 6:23 you can see that the S of Sauvage has smaller hooks on the original. Also the A has a smaller gap with the original. You have to look closely though.

Well, a good hint is the cap of the bottle. It will always line up sideways to the sauvage print on the bottle. If you see the fake one, it's all around the place.

Thanks a lot for this very helpful video. I bought a Dior Sauvage elixir from a top rated eBay seller and turned out to be counterfeit. I’m familiar with Dior Sauvage flankers and for an untrained eye, the packaging is virtually identical. The only thing off about it was the packaging did not have the corresponding batch code printed in the bottle and the weight was slightly off. (In my case 315g vs 320g of the original.) Pretty much everything else was spot on. Even the cap was high quality magnetic and was approx 32g. But the dead giveaway was the smell. It’s no way close to Dior Sauvage elixir. Much weaker watery scent. Thanks for the awareness. This was helpful

Perfume companies need to find more solutions to protect their customers .. for example: there should be a serial number in every box that can be scratched after payment and checked in their website .. if that number was flagged for being ( number was checked in **/**/**** ) it should mean automatically it’s fake and the customer should get his money back or can return the item..

We can never really tell the difference except the cap sizes and the absence of the foam cushion inside the box until I went to an authentic Dior store in a shopping mall and have my online bought Sauvage Elixir for half the price to be verified there. It was found to be original with the box batch codes intact that matches the bottle bottom. And as long as it is Made In France it must be authentic and original...

I got sauvage elixir a couple of days ago for 70$ and it looks exactly as the real one , and I’ve heard that it has a very strong smell and its long lasting, but the one i have lasts hardly for around 2 hours .. i think its fake!

the serial number on the bottom of the original dior elixir bottle must be engraved... take something sharp and scratch... if the paint comes off it's a fake perfume... if it doesn't come off... it's engraved and it's original

I have the right cap - it adjusts properly. I have a sponge in a box, top and bottom. Weight 240g I can't take the bottom apart to remove the sponge like you did in the video - the stand is stuck together. I don't have a serial number on the bottle. The inscription at the bottom of the bottle is engraved with the point method, (letters made of small dots) almost invisible inscriptions. The sponge on the bottom is lower than the cardboard base. The insect inside the cap looks a bit different, on the base at the bottom of the package it is as it should be. It smells like normal elixir. I can give pictures.

if you can't figure out the video… weigh the lid is different in weight and glass…. the serial number must be engraved on the bottom of the bottle… fake has the paint (give a little with a knife on it this serial number… if it is erased it is fake)

@@FakeCip I figured out the video, but my copy doesn't match 100% of the ones in the video. The cap weighs 30 g. The atomizer is small as in the original, the cap is also like in the original, the same as in my Sauvage Parfum. The bottle on top is smooth as in the original, not rough. The cap is always positioned with the CD inscription in the same way as in the original. There is no bach code number on the bottle, in any form. The font on the bottle is weirdly bold, I think. Smells right, not like EDP Sauvage. If it's a fake, it's the best I've ever seen in my life. The perfume is new, I did one spray. There's like this tiny piece on the bottom of the lid that moves up and down and if it gets stuck in the lid isn't lined up with the font that's just how it is that's what happened to mine and that's probably what happened to a lot of people's so that's not really a good way to point it out

first of all, it is not the best fake, it is the second quality.The good ones look even better and have a batchcode on the bottle.what is never said is that a quality fake is worth buying, the smell and taste are about 90% the same.
