I just bought one from vinted and my theory is that they kept the original box, bottle and fill it with a fake perfume because the smells last for hours but only the initial part of fragrance, it never changes.

Great video. I just got a Jo Malone perfume and have checked it out and everything seems to be original. I got it with a discount for 86 euros instead if 115 so I was a bit suspicious but having seen the video and checked out the smell it is an original.

Nowadays, even the fakes have batch codes on the bottle and a number in the cap. That used to be a telltale sign of genuine items.

@@ninaty21 Never tried, but I reckon bar/qr codes are easily faked, the same way legit batch codes are.

You needto go to the offical jo Malone batch code checker, Just put in the batch code and if its original it comes up with the date it was manufactured. If it is fake it will say something like Not valid or does not exist. I did that with mine and thankfully it was an original.

Agree. Bar codes, QR codes etc can all be replicated. They may be correct, but printed on fake items.

This was AWESOME! So far every purchase I've made for expensive perfume has been incredible very lucky. Except once jadore I get everything in email writing before I purchase and ALWAYS use PayPal as a back up. They don't mess with PayPal. A bad review is one thing. PayPal pulling you, totally horrific. Get it in writing via email! If it's NOT authentic chances are they WON'T say it outright. I called one out once. He said it came from a flea market instead of admitting it. He knew, I knew. Cover your tracks. Get it in writing.
