I'm 28 years old now. Seeing these cards takes me back to when I was 6. The way we played this in the Philippines back then, you and your opponent high-five with a card in hand. Then if your card falls face up you win, then take your opponent's card. So much nostalgia. Thanks for sharing.

We had something similar, just more profound. We called it Half-Full, or maybe Half/Equal would be the better translation. Basically Full is both cards land on the same side, and Half is if they land on opposite sides(one falls face up and the other face down). Basically, you and your opponent take turns, one holds his card in front of him on two fingers, and the other hits it with his card and drops it so they both fall to the ground, while also calling the result as he/she does so(Basically, what you predict it will be, whether it's 'half' or 'full'/'equal'). If you call it right, you take both cards, If you call it wrong, your opponet takes them.

My parents got me something like that when they were in Portugal in fall 2004. The cards had a laser shine. What ruined them is the crappy translations to English.
@Bruce_Fernandes5 ай бұрын
I bet they bought those at some chinese shop or during some fair counter(everything sold in that kind of place that isn't food is fake). Here in Portugal you will find a lot of that in fairs and chinese shops, the only places selling the real deal are toy/game stores(like toys'r us or some small local game shops) or in a few cases, book & office supply shops. Some of them fakes aren't even actual cards, they are actually stickers.

Back in the day, fake and mistranslated cards were the only thing my friends and cousins could get, some "rarities" were so fucking disgusting, you could not even read the text of the card and were hard to the eyes. There are two that I remember clearly, one was called "Ensalada Mala" which literally translates to "Evil Salad" and I've never seen the real card and what its supposed name really is, still a mystery... Oh, and had Winged Dragon of Ra, but it was called "Arc System Dragon - Drake"... I don't know how hat translation is possible, but it's very funny

Man Yugioh Magic CardV sucks ass Seriously though...... Yuyu and his counterparts Yuta, Yuga, Yuro and Zard are pretty interesting interesting characters since all of them had awesome universal Necklaces that can communicate with themselves and their universal dragons Suzy/Yuna and her counterparts Cecelia, Ramona, Lora and Raven had potential to be awesome characters but they keep on having them be tossed aside for more of Yuyu and Zard's battles. Also apparently Yuna is the only Universal counterpart who wears a bracelet on her arm just because they wanted to maker her special. Ramona never played any games at all (Not even against Yuga her soulmate) instead Yuna showed up and played 1 last game against Yuga and defeated him with her Musical Flower Angel Mericat. My favorite moment from the show was when Yuna started to wear Cecelia's warriors outfit (simple red jacket, a broad grey skirt, a black vest that is half unzipped over a white shirt and large black and red boots) to get captured first so that she can help her Universal selves from being merged into 1 but it backfired when Yuyu came and defeated the bad guys before he merged with his universal counterparts with their pendants and Yuna's bracelet started to react like crazy. At least the manga was better because Yuyu turned into Zard to play different board games against his enemies and Zard just loves to torture his opponents everytime his opponents tries to cheat on him. There's even a chapter of the Manga where Yuyu/Zard enters a gameshow against Yuro in a TCG Roulette Rules game called Wheel of Rules while Yuna plays a Dark game against the JTV producer who wanted all Yuyu/Zard and Yuro's necklaces as well as Yuna's bracelet. The manga ended with Yuyu/Zard and Yuna playing an RPG called Fake Kingdom against Dark master Yuta who wanted all 4 necklaces to rule the world (By the way, Fake Kingdom was so popular that they even made a video game of the same name where Yuyu/Zard, Yuna and Kaizer entered a virtual version of the game where they battled against each other by having the game act like Beltmon)

What's crazy is how many of those "Artworks" belong to actual cards. "Seal Sacrificing Mask" Pretty sure that's just "Mask of Restrict" Artwork. "Inconsiderate Greed" is just the artwork of "Reckless Greed". "Ravishing" is the artwork of "Snatch Steal". "Red Lotus Magic Beast Da Iza" is just the artwork of "Gran Mazu De Iza". "Thunder Empress" is just the artwork for "Thunder Nyan Nyan". "Disturbing Beast Green" is just the artwork of Ojama Green.
