Despite falling to GenG in the LCK finals over the weekend - T1 and Faker have managed to secure a spot at MSI despite months of targeted DDoS attacks that destroyed their ability to properly practice.
It’s a bittersweet victory that they’re going to MSI, but a victory nonetheless...

Dude won Worlds 4 times, and also won it in his rookie year. But that's not to say I underestimate Chovy's achievements. I've been following him since Griffin debuted in LCK and how he started smashing everyone easily, along with having 100+ KDA. Dude is also insane!

If the DDOs attacks didn’t occur I would say it would Been a completely different outcome now will it still be hard yes but I think T1 would of beaten HLE in the first go and the second to retry at gen g in a series of two best of fives which they might have been able to adapt or got themselves stomped but it would of been a banger 2 best of five sets

Gen.G is so much more fun to watch than T1. All respect to Faker; he's an incredibly talented player, as are all of T1's roster, in their own right. Ksante was just too OP man and T1 playing Zac over it was a mistake. They could have won game 5 if they banned ksante or match a champion against ksante. You can see in the last fight at mid, ksante was just zoning T1's carries while zeus and oner doing shit on the back line without damage.

I also don’t like Ksante but Kinn played out of his mind just like Zeus was in Worlds finals. Zac was a mistake pick and Zeus paid for it though. I feel like T1 has a track record of not banning or picking OP and super meta champions in decisive games. Aatrox at 2022 Worlds and now Ksante at Spring 2023. T1 has team fight capability and Faker can usually pull off god-like plays out of nowhere but they can’t do anything when the draft or lane match up is particularly disadvantaged. Still, they try so hard even to the last minute.

One part that isn’t clarified here is that every other top team is affected by these problems. T1 weren’t in any worse a position as their fellow teams. It was t1 making it their excuse that made the news like they are most affected. Both before and after teams and journalists clarified it’s all top teams . They were hit the hardest that even the whole T1 building was affected. Other T1 teams weren't able to play and T1 lol team even had to take on a penalty for canceling their streaming hours since it was impossible to do anything. Deft even once said that he got ddosed that day when he met 2 T1 members. Other teams may have been affected but T1 obviously were affected the most, a fact that you can easily see just by checking their soloque accounts compared to others.

T1 situation is different, their soloq account kept getting ddos so they couldn’t get good practice for playoff until they speak out about it and riot helped. The equivalent in apex would be if certain apex team couldn’t practice from getting ddos over and over again. A live match getting hacked affects everyone, not just one or two team.
