Holy shit!! They used to play this on USA back in the 90s so much!!! USA had a sick ass rotation for random movies ever. Too bad it's all cop shows these days. I remember spending one Saturday glued to it cuz they showed "Friday" at 8am, "The Breaks" at 11am, "Trippin" at 1pm, "Players Club" at 3pm, this movie at 6pm and "they premiered "Next Friday" at 8pm. Had to record it on a vhs lol. If you were a teen in 2000, USA was a problem. Love this upload!

Man this is an amazing movie. I wish we lived in a world like this. I just watched "The Wanderers" a white movie from the 70s and was thoroughly unimpressed and quiet disturbed by the innuendo and amount of comments supporting it whilst a movie like this goes unnoticed.

Three years later from this release Dante B. who played the character Julian Lee was the lead in the film the "Debut" using the same stereotypes for a phillpino version film. There was a basketball showdown in that film,, they used the keep it real blackness theme without black characters.

Was a good positive movie..is just i thought at some point the parents would tell about adoption or at least for there to be a way to let the audience know whether he knows or not ...but im glad there was a change over part to the movie were most of the people that were negative towards other culture slowly started to change and accept different people is a good thing to see

This movie was filmed in 3 weeks. I guess they were on a tight budget. Only know because I did some research and Dante was 20 almost 21 in this movie but looked roughly 16/17.
