+Shania Maureen There's more to J-pop than J-idols like AKB48. This is just one such group. FEMM, Kalafina, and the three groups that make up E-girls are good examples. Giselle4 has a few good songs, too, like "Brave Heart".

Honest truth, both J-Pop and K-pop styles sampled off of western genre music (I say genre because there is music that is not just pop and dance music). I mean you can hear styles in Rap, R&B, Rock, Alternative, Pop, EDM, even in reggae, Latin, and Reggaeton.

I love Jpop and Kpop, but there are quite a few Kpoppers (not all, but a few) who love to harass, compare, and attack other groups (which is funny because they usually can't take their own medicine if someone should ever criticize their favorite group). I think the only reason for the comparison is because when people think Jpop, they normally think of cutesy, childlike acts like Kyary Pamyu Pamyu and AKB48, and Faky has a sexy, sassy sound that is a lot more prominent in Kpop. However, Japanese artists like Hikaru Utada, Namie Amuro and Koda Kumi have always had that same sassy pop/R&B sound, too, and they began singing well before a lot of popular Kpop acts, so it's really not fair to compare the two because they've always been around in each culture.

FAKY went on a hiatus. They're coming back early 2015. Here's what was posted a few months ago by FAKY. First and foremost, thank you for your continuous support for FAKY. As a result of extensive discussions amongst the members of FAKY and the staff, it has been decided that FAKY will undergo further development, including the possibility of reconfiguring the members of the group, in order to enable delivery of a more powerful form of entertainment and music that is truly unique to FAKY. In light of this decision, FAKY’s debut mini CD album (CD+DVD : RZCD-59537/B, CD ONLY : RZCD-59538) which was slated to be released on April 9th, 2014, will instead be released digitally for a limited time starting July 2nd, 2014. We extend our sincerest apology to those who made reservations for the debut mini CD album but hope that you understand that the girls need to undergo this process in order for FAKY to become a more cohesive and united group. FAKY in its current form with Anna, Lil’ Fang, Mikako, Diane, and Tina will temporarily cease their activity as a group, but will continue on with their individual activities during this process throughout 2014. FAKY is currently planning to make their comeback in early 2015 so please be on the look out for updates regarding the new and revamped FAKY. Thank you always for your support. The girls are all either full Japanese or half. Diane, 1996, red hair, is 50% Japanese 50% american born in japan. Tina, 1996, Blonde hair with sideswept bangs, 50% Japanese 50% american born in America. Mikako, 1994, short light brown hair, 100% Japanese born in japan. can't wait for their comeback soon. sadly some of them will be leaving or being replaced, but i still love their music. they have powerful vocals, a new message, and something some groups lack: ambition. faky really combines the look of kpop, the japanese and english language, and the sound of jpop, kpop, euro pop, and american pop. shows that music can transcend stereotypes or traditional thoughts about media.

The great thing about being mixed is that the traits vary from person to person... there are many mixed people who look completely Asian, Black, White, etc. For example, I am 3/4 Black and 1/4 Cuban... but I look much more Spanish than Black. I think Tina does look a little Japanese but she definitely looks more white than Asian.
