Were could I get black clay like that you used around the eyes and mouth. Thank you.
@ArtofTaxidermy Жыл бұрын
It’s not clay… it’s a two part epoxy putty. You can get them from Art suppliers. Mine is called Aves epoxy.

Excellent work 👍. Washing after assembly,so that the pickle and tanner are not washed from the skin?
@ArtofTaxidermy2 жыл бұрын
No… it’s all good. Keep in mind you are washing the hair mostly, and outer surface of the hide just gets wet for a short time ..If we leave the tanned skin in water for long period of times , then you could be concerned. But shampooing and rinsing is all good.

As a song by Walker Hayes says, “Taxidermy, now that’s art.” At least yours certainly is.

Excellent work as always ! Do you remove the ear cartilage ?
@ArtofTaxidermy2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Robert. No I leave them in on animals like fox , lynx , bobcats and such. They are pretty thin that won’t cause any problems.
