I'm a Pokémon remix connoisseur, I've listened to more Pokémon remixes then any other franchise, for more than a decade, and this... this is actually one of the BEST remixes of this particular theme I've ever heard! The chiptune lead together with the EDM bass and rhythm works SO well. The perfect blend of nostalgic melodies and modern beats! It sounds like something official! Like something you would maybe hear in a Nintendo Direct or something similar! And the drops, oh man, so good. Amazing, just amazing. I hope the two of you continue to collab and have even greater success with your music!! 😃👍👍

Wow, you guys, this is phenomenal! It has unrelenting energy and drive from start-to-finish, and it's an awesome blend of OG nostalgia and modern production, truly delivering the best of both worlds. Right off the bat, I have to mention how tight the transitions are. Given the sheer variety of sound styles and rhythms, you guys have really tied them together seamlessly, and the song never feels like it loses an ounce of momentum - not an easy thing to do, given all the variance. Some of my favorite transitions in particular include the one at 0:44, replacing that downbeat with the recovery sound effect; 1:12, how it just slides right into that _sick_ half-time beat; and most of all 2:25, with the "find item" sound effect, how it overlaps with the melody notes and it dissonant for a brief moment before resolving - that was absolutely brilliant!! The instrumentation here is absolutely wild, and I love that your signature instruments are present throughout the mix. For instance, Vector's iconic lead is present from the get-go, as well as some of the other main instruments, like that plucky synth used for a lot of the later melodies. And I could be wrong here, but I feel like quite a few of the percussive elements are your fine work. Also, the arrangement is insane, and so well thought out. The song captures all kinds of feelings and energy levels, ranging from high-intensity and in-your-face, to retro and chilled-out... and everything in between! In particular, the buildup at 1:26 is just too good, and I love how it corresponds with the transition from Gen 1 Kanto to the Gen 3 remake intro screen, just as the music also goes from filtered-down and retro-sounding to modern and bright. It's truly next-level work, in terms of planning and coordinating both the audio and video. Speaking of which... Holy heck, this has to be one of your best videos yet! The degree of planning needed to coordinate all of the intro segments of the Pokemon games in a logical sequence, synchronizing them with shifts in the music, and adjusting the length of each clip to fit the audio must have been considerable. And the visual transitions look professional and are very satisfying to watch! For someone who's been playing since RBY, it was especially meaningful, seeing all of the changes throughout the years, leading all the way up to Legends Arceus. This was truly a tribute to the collective main series games on a scale like no other! Again, fantastic work, and major props to both of you - and what a fitting way to usher in the latest generation of games! 🌟

Gotta give VU some appreciate on the transitions, 'cause he absolutely nailed the drum fills & transitional sfx for this remix! And of course, the in-game SFX thrown in there definitely helped with the spacing, haha. I feel like I'm using more "percussive" synths in my music as of late; as a young drummer in 5th grade, I always had a knack for sounds that has a solid transient - and making sure those sounds fit front-and-center in the mix! Your ear is catching things even I don't recognize I do unintentionally! Oh absolutely, the middle section with the Gengar & Nidoran is easily my favorite part of the entire track; the subtle build into a more relaxed version of the melody...it definitely takes you for a journey, that's for sure! 🙌 Huge thank you for the mention of the video, it took me _forever_ to get the spacing, outer-glow, transitions, and everything else to fit just right. But, great work is never rushed, so I had to cancel some in-person plans to make this video come to life...😅 but it's worth it in the end! I appreciate you so much Equalyze - thanks again!! 💫
