Idea #1 (Pizza Tower): Mario is on a cave level, but at the end of the level, instead of a pipe to get out, Pillar John is there, but Mario unwittingly kicks a Koopa shell straight towards Pillar John, starting Pizza Time (escape sequence) and Mario has to get back to the start of the level as soon as possible before Pizzaface appears and kills him. Idea #2 (Antonblast): Mario is in a level, but at the end of the level, instead of the flagpole, there is a detonator, and Mario unknowingly jumps on the detonator, pressing the button and activating it, starting Happy Hour (escape sequence), and Mario has to get back to the start of the level as soon as possible before everything explodes.

Mario's Coin Weight Maze. The amount of coins Mario has determines his weight and effects. Less coins allow him to jump higher, wind pushes him, music blocks bounce him more, floats in water, struggles to push blocks More coins prevent him from jumping so high, springs launch him, sinks in water, can push heavy objects, can break bricks without a power-up
