What are you talking about? He reached his popularity peak and aknowledged he would not be able to top his success and rise any higher than he already did, before he just went off to basically rip his career. He reached the peak and insanely famous for what he achieved and he was so wealthy and popular that he grew a fame paranoia. And all that while some of his songs were more or less only coverversions of already existing songs. He def. received the attention, fame and financial reward he earned. At his funeral were 4000 people. Wouldnt call that a lack of respect.

I think that is something general that you notice about music. First and foremost there must be a good beat, rhythm, and sound, past that the words, or meanings are less important. Even if you do not know German, all Falco's songs are better in German, than in English. Also all Nena's songs including 99 Luftballons. The original German version is tops. Don't listen to the English version. Also, the Peter Schilling "Major Tom" is better in German, because that was the original and it sounds better, whether or not you can understand it.

@@AdeamosCaar well, part of that statement is true. Mozart was loved during the first years he lived in Vienna. Trouble was, he was one of the first composers who chose to live on commissions he earned from what we now call free lance work. Most composers til then tried to have a steady job as a kapellmeister in the service of a rich patron. So when in his last two years his music began to fall out of favor with the public, his income dwindled that fast that he could only be buried in a paupers' mass grave at his death (main thing why we still don't know where his remains are).
