Why music of YS series in PC-Engine (Turbo-Grafx16) sounds awesome? Because of The arranger Ryo Yonemitsu (米光亮), his cuttinng-edge 80"s synthesizers resulted in Hudson's version sounds unique & awesome ever. Btw, 16bit 44.1K CD audio track recording eual to 1411K/sec almost lossless, not nowaday MP3 128K~512K or even 768K lossy. Yeah, I beat this game recently on the PC Engine version, and you literally had to max out your level just to stand a chance. Without max level you'd just take too much damage.

@@Gotmilk0112 but max level is 99 and you absolutely dont need that level to defeat him. Maybe level 61 but I don't think one needs to go higher for that.

A shame to say this but this is one of the few times I think the PC Engine version of that track fails to be the best one. It lacks power, it lacks tension and.. it doesn't feel finished? When you compare this one with the Final Battle against Dark Fact from ys 1, it totally falls flat, even after 1:20 on this one. Ironically this song does fit Ys 2 more in a sense that I think Ys 2 is heavily flawed and repeatly flawed in it's remakes and enhanced ports. While the music in some ways changes for better or worse, gameplaywise it's still this overly tryharded finale for a game that was basically split apart with the better half of it still being looked and talked about positively today while it's second half is still glared at negatively, not only for it's final dungeon design!

@@jzblue345 The original was older, debuted in the PC-8801--- which would later be ported to other current gen pc such as the X1, PC-9801, FM-7, and MSX2, all of which were somewhere in 1987 before it was remake in the PC Engine the year or so after.

@@Notacka I prefers the Chronicles one, only because of Jindo's great usage of instruments during the second part of that version. Though if I were to rank them based on the melody, I would rank the Eternal version number 1, that thing went extra.
