Incidentally, I read a statement from one of the people involved in the official English localization. They said that when they were deciding how the title Sen no Kiseki should be translated, it wasn't quite so straightforward. Sen most literally translates as "flash" - the literal translation of Sen no Kiseki would be "Trails of the Flash" but not all of the meaning transfers over. "Sen" more refers to a specific type of flash, the flash of light from a sword being drawn... So they decided to propose Trails of Cold Steel as the English title to try and evoke the same meaning.

Apart from the obvious tearjerkers the game pulls off in the last few minutes, the most heartbreaking for me was actually Towa, sinking to her knees after the explosion and asking George with a sad smile "That wasn't you, right?". Second place is the thing Jusis and Millium have going on, or rather their sudden halt of that. I can already see the MASSIVE guilt-trips Towa, Rean, Altina and Jusis are going to have in IV.
