Falcon 4 BMS Tutorial 22 : LANTIRN

The LANTIRN system allows low level flight at night, and in adverse weather conditions. It combines navigation and targeting pods to support low level approach to the target area, and delivery of precision guided weapons. Tactics previously only applicable in daylight can then be put into practise at night and in bad weather.

FYI LANTIRN is only available to the Block 40/42 - later blocks do not have it and also do not have the FLIR feature. I just found out the hard way, wondering why it says "FLIR OFF" in my block 50...

CARA A-LOW is set to SCP - 10%, MSL Floor to the Korean transition altitude, and TFR advisory is set to Minimum Safe Altitude.

You videos a fantastic helping me learn this jet. But when I come to this tutorial your bid is Very helpful. But when I try it I can't get the flir or the tfr to power up. I don't think there even on the jet just the target pod. Any suggestions would help.

You have to verify that the required equipment is on the aircraft.

I use the 2D cockpit views for more stable views when looking at the consoles.

I can't remember if there is one or several external views. You may have to expirement to find a stable camera view.
