Superb speakers. A smooth warm lushes velvety sound, even better when pair with valve amps. Perfect for certain types of music only. It has a coloured warm sound that was deliberately tuned that way.

The cabinet is a Gold Badge but the crossover looks like a Silver Badge?

This concerns me... I am about to pull the trigger and get a Gold Badge, but your observation seems correct, that crossover looks like the older silver badge version but it's inside a Gold Badge speaker?!

Tappings on the transformer to adjust for sensitivity of the tweeter. You could snip it off but then if you need to replace a tweeter you'd be buggered if it was needed.

This reproduction is superb in every way apart from one. With the original it was near impossible to remove the front grill! You could argue it was voiced with the grill on so it shouldn’t be removed or you could say Rogers tolerances were way too tight !🤣
