Great for new players. Thanks Max! Now, 4.7 makes the "alternative" launcher default so it's even easier. Advanced setup takes actual research. Don't forget, BMS supports DX SHIFT so if your HOTAS supports that which most if not all do, you have an entire set of controls with the SHIFT function. On CH Products it's the pinky switch on the stick and works for both stick and throttle. RDR cursor control for example is perfect to bind manuallyin the SHIFT set since it's not in the defaults for CH. No need to KB cursors. Same thing to reduce cockpit mousing. Set SHIFT buttons for all those things you want to press all the time but hate rummaging around the cockpit for. Lighting, FLIR, etc. The only thing which won't play nice with SHIFT is if you have TrackIR and you want to set HOTAS buttons to Center, Precision, Pause. Those will either take up buttons or if you're not cool with that, map them to keyboard keys. I prefer them to be on the throttle because I move my position all the time since I'm in a jank cockpit that can move around.

After 10years I am now planning to restart my BMS experience. Primarily due to the 4.37 VR option. I would like to hear your opinion on the TARGET tool of the Warthog. I worked with that very little for DCS. does it make sense to use it for BMS? If yes I would assume that you would have to launch TARGET to get your "combined" stick+throttle device, to do all the key and axis related stuff Max showed in this vid. Can you confirm? Thank you for the good introduction, also with some time on bms still a lot of things to learn and a good recap! How do you have setup your hotas warthog pitch and roll (x/y) axis shaping? (for BMS and in general) In the manual the recommend it to leave it in a linear behaviour for the f16. That makes the control usually a bit erractic at the center. What is your personal opinnion about this? a bit of expo, or also linear from center to max?

Check the changelog on this page: www.falcon-lounge.com/news/falcon-bms-4-34-update-1-is-here/ Look for: "AXIS SETTINGS:" Those are lines to add in the falcon bms.cfg file (at the end) and it will give you a possibility to have a curved profile for your stick. Cheers

How do i bind gun to my trigger?

For whatever reason Falcon sees my throttle reversed... there is no "invert" option for the throttle. How can I change this?

Friend, is there any way to play this game with PS4 controller?? I know it's not the more suitable for the game but still, it's what I have here... I tried to configure it but once the game starts, the PS4 controller doesn't respond. The frustrating thing is that when I'm on the configuration options, the commands respond! But once in game, it doesn't answer anymore! =( Is there a way to fix it?? Thanks in advance, buddy!

PS4 isn't the best experience to fly BMS but if you need to useit, you need to make it recognized as a directx device (most probably viewed as an xbox controller)

hi Max followed this twice with my new Warthog set up, my items where not in the right order in the Notepad you showed, in Device sorting, i put them in order? cut and paste? when i load key file from BMS docs the only thing that gets mapped is the trim! nothing else, any thoughts please? And when i go back into BMS setup my controller goes back to `Keyboard!?

20 year old reincarnated game and somehow every damn video is with the uber rich warthog flight stick....looks like the devs of the remake doesnt like anything other than a hog stick....

The warthog stick is identical to the F-16's stick except for one *additional* button.
