Falcon BMS - You NEED to understand Bullseye to develop SA

But how do i fly to the bullseye call? , when i put my spi on the location​ and start pulling to the spi , the spi dosent keep the location , thats the only part that is missing in this great tuturial@@AviationPlus

@@stevesteven-gw4zy Yup place cursor in the general area and determine if it is a threat if it is commit if not don't worry about it but take not if it will become a threat soon or not.

@@AviationPlus i get it , but if it is a threat , how do you navgiate to the spi ? I can turn the plane in some degree to head to the spi , like if the spi is on my 8 a clock , thats about 120 dgree to the left , and lets say the distance is 20 mile , how do i know that when i passed 20 mile ? I know it sound stuiped , but thats my qustion thanks for the reply

Great as always! I recall reading you can set your radio messages (text) to stay in a pull-down now so you could read the bullseye calls at your leisure.

That is correct you can have the radio calls come up as text on the top left side of the screen, but they will disappear after a few seconds.

Finding coordinates on the FCR can be difficult, because it's not a top down view. Luckily the HSD mirrors the FCR cursor. With FCR as SOI the cursor will move inwards/outwards, or along the range rings, which I find a bit more intuitive.

@@AviationPlus correct me if I’m wrong but dcs has a better flight model, avionics modeling, radar modeling, and jet system modeling.

@@quickrider3855 You are 100% wrong on the flight model. BMS uses NASA data to model the F16 characteristics. In regards to DCS eye candy doesn't mean it's accurate by any means.

So all through training, the whole time we learn how to use Bullseye. Then we get in on a bigger training exercise, and someone's calling out "Torch 225/30 22k hostile". To my instructor I'm like WTF is torch? We always said bullseye all through training stuff, never once mentioned it would get its own code in an actual application. It threw me so hard when I was already task saturated, lol.

@@Mase1up In BMS TvT we would have bullseyes. King, Rook, Bishops so you would know which one to use. We would change it up every now and then.

I was under the impression that if you don't click the checkbox for bullseye in the DTC, all radio calls will be coordinates relative to your own position. Maybe that's from an older version(?)

@@effsixteenblock50 My understanding is if you don't check the bullseye your aircraft won't have the updated bullseye. BRAA calls can be forced in the ini config file settings.
