Melissa has some deep issues and I think that in her backstory she was probably molested by her father, Carlo. Back then they never talked about molestation. Ana-Alecia should have gotten an Emmy award for this episode

And then after giving the performance of her career, Ana Alicia was fired and written of the show. I always liked it when John Saxon showed up as Lance's Dad. Several times over the show's run. After his Mom went murder crazy, he needed his Dad even though he struggled to admit it at first.

I loved Ana Alicia on FC. She was far from the strongest actor in an extremely talented cast, but she brought certain qualities to Melissa that really made her character interesting.
