(P.S.).. For anybody wondering... I think he is probably 'intact', and the flow is diverted because of that. The fix for the problem is for the male to uncover the tip when necessary. When that is done the flow is much more controllable. It might be hard to believe, but some males have never realized that, and they can be quite embarrassed if it is explained to them. .. A medical doctor I spoke to cautions that there may be cases where the tip cannot be uncovered, and male hygiene would be extremely difficult. In those cases, the male should be encouraged to visit a doctor. .. (you're welcome)

I still maintain that this footage is, by far, the best amateur footage of ANY Space X launch to date. One continuous footage from lift off to landing of the two boosters. I challenge anyone to find any amateur footage of a Space X launch that is any better. Not only that it was all tracked by hand. What a lot of butthurt this has created for Flerfs and space deniers.

In this model it's only five stops stabilisation so compared to any telelens from Nikon that amount would be laughable.

This video was captured from about 12km away from the launch site. you can actually calculate that by listening to the sonic boom of the boosters after the start the engine while landing and the time it took those sound to reach the camera.. it was about 37 seconds. multiply that with the speed of sound (340 m/s)...and you get 12.5km

Outstanding camerawork - how you kept the boosters in view at 4500 mph at that distance and altitude and captured the return in one continuous handheld shot is astounding. And it goes to show that the D1000's zoom is really the stuff of legend. Seriously at apogee those boosters went up to 100 km before falling back.

@@Jason_Family_Man Well, the first and second stages of the Saturn V certainly dropped into the ocean. The third stages either entered solar orbit or were impacted in to the Moon. You can clearly see the Falcon heavy first stages landing. It's second stages usually eventually burn up in the atmosphere, after deploying their payloads.

My thesis project involved the contribution of Wigner crystallization to the cooling of white dwarf stars. I worked as an astronautical engineer at JSC during the Space Shuttle days, so I know something about that as well. You say you want proof that there are artificial satellites orbiting the Earth. What proof would you accept beyond the evidence of your own eyes? There are numerous satellite tracking websites and apps you can download. Here's one; www.n2yo.com . Put in any satellite you've ever heard of, like the space station or Falcon upper stages, and it will tell you when it will be visible in your sky. Get yourself a good pair of binoculars or small telescope and you will be able to see them. Of course, you won't.

I've seen them myself, both ways. The space station in particular is always visible, but you will hide in your room rather than look at it. @@SixOThree while you're technically correct, I believe they classify it as a a "megazoom" camera. TBH I don't know how much is automatic on this camera. I've held one, though : it's bigger than a 5D mk3 with a 24-70 L zoom, and pretty much the same weight.
