For anyone wondering, I taught my dog to roll over by using the treat lure method. You get the dog to realize you're holding a treat, and you get them to follow the treat with their head, then move the treat to their shoulder (while they dog is lying down). When they turn, push into their shoulder to get them to roll onto their side, and keep saying the command. From there push them to roll over completely and when they spring to their feet praise them and finally let them have the treat. It's tricky, but after a bit the dog will catch on (keep praising them the closer they get to completing the trick by themselves). My dog was very nervous about this command due to another dog that would bully her, so it took her close to a month to really learn this trick (and to this day she won't do it unless she knows she's getting a reward, either a treat or some play time), but another dog I taught this to learned it after about ten tries, so depending on your bond with your dog and the dog's past experiences, this can have mixed results. Spinning your hand in front of the dog repeatedly won't actually help them learn to roll over xD

Abie is so ❤ Fun fact: I heard that dogs percieve time slower than humans. So the way they percieve the world is kinda in Slow motion. That’s why when you ask them to wait, it feels long for time even for a few seconds XD . They also have fast reflexes because of that. You throw a blueberry to them for example, they can catch it with no problem, sometimes with a few misses😅

She’s comfortable doing the basics and that’s alright haha my dog is half poodle and half Australian shepherd and is pretty smart.
