The Pulse laser in place of machine guns and beefy TLS module more than make up for it for me. Granted, I'd only want the Falken for things like air to ground combat - Wyvern is near absolutely superior for dogfighting.

I was disappointed that it wasn't a 1hitkill anymore like in 5. I'd gladly take bombs or more A2A missiles on my planes that the neutered TLS and PSLS. At least the EML is decent. But for real, I'd like to fly in 15c formation with my squad all the time, but no bombs (unlike in Zero), because having one jet stick out messes with my OCD. But yeah, they gave most planes a TLS so they neutered it to compensate. I get that the game is getting closer to the 2040 electrosphere timeline but come on.. just retcon the date and let me have my one hit kill FALKEN!

Yeah that's my single biggest disappointment in the game. AC5's laser was basically fire and forget and it would find targets for you and wipe them out instantly. This one is basically just a good tickling from your drunken family relative by comparison.

Ironically enough the only superfighter to appear before all the DLC planes came in looks more closer to the namesake than the Raven's nn

And the X-02 also has freaking EML on top of that. I made some tests with the falken and raven after that last video comparison you did and my results turned out differently in terms of tls damage and defense of both aircraft, pretty interesting and weird results too. Would you be interested in that? It seems that the numbers might work differently when it comes to multiplayer, even without parts, since I didn't use that bomber as the measure for testing.

It’s not a great comparison to be completely honest. The FALKEN is considered to be a fighter according to the game but I consider it as a multi-role aircraft simply because it has a limited air-to-air combat arsenal and does not compete well against S-TIER fighter aircraft such as the the Wyvern or the ADF-01 in terms of speed, mobility and air-to-air weapons.

ADF-01 is the FALKEN lol. I think you mean the ADF-11F Raven and the F-22, and the X-02S Strike Wyvern. UAVs, QAAMs, and EMLs are broken in dogfights right now.

both are great aircraft, i prefer wyvern over falken because of it's multirole and versatility. maybe falken little bit too slugish because it need some stability to fire TLS. but there's something that can never be replaced about falken, for me it is the first "lightsaber of the sky"

Pfft better multirole and versatility? The FAEB is the best Anti-Ground weapon in the game next to the XDSB from the F-22, the MPBM from the Morgan (ADFX-01), and the 8AGM (F35C).

Add the Queen's custom, variable cycle, and high pressure parts and the ADF will hit 3115. Not sure about the wyvern yet I haven't flown it much as the FAEB is a game changer on ground targets

I've hit 3405 on the Strike Wyvern with those parts. Sure the FAEB is amazing on ground targets, arguably the best weapon in the game for it. However in dogfights or air targets you aren't beating that EML.

Not really, The Wyvern is older by a few years. It’s plans were completed in 1987, but development was halted for 10 years before Erusea even got to building a working model, production started and stopped until 2005 when Osea captured the plans and built six or so UAV’s with them. The Falken however, was planned around 1995, by 1998 they had a working prototype, it took until 2010 for a proper Falken as we know it to be complete. Yes, while the Strike wyvern is new, it should technically be worse, as it’s a bigger, 2-seater version of the normal Wyvern with more weight, it’s also a much older design by a few years.

At least the real vs is EML vs TLS and in both cases is the pilot skill to make the difference. Wyvern and Falken are on the same level upgraded. Eml cause a terrible damage but hit a target with it is more difficult than TLS. However Raven is still better ; upgraded and testing all the stats can easly strike down both these aircraft thanks to its superior weapons.

Well for the sake of the argument, the EML is a straight upgrade if you think of instant kill vs damage over time. You can react to a TLS (since it can't one shot you). Plus lasers can't hit things in clouds.

@@mastertintiger TLS in ace combat 7 is weaker than ac5 version; it hasn't istant shot time and it lost its istant kill skill. In the end Eml if you are accurate can kill with 1 shot also in the clouds. Better weapon is however Pulse laser; in the end it's a blaster cannon like "star wars" that can shot down target rapidly from long distance. TLS ac7 over EML has the only advantage that has 7 seconds of activity that let the pilot to adjust the shot eventually but however both weapons angaist target like large ship, fast aircraft ecc are less usefull than Pulse laser. Probably the reason why tls is not powerful as the ac5 ver. Is because there's EML in the game as "istant kill weapon ".

And maybe the psls is a sort of evolution of tsl; infact if you have a good eye you can notice that " raven" has a primitive shape that remembers the "night raven"; also for the name. Maybe the laser munted on x-49 is a hybrid between the old tls and the new psls (different from the Pulse vulcan gun of ac3).
